Ok so I have 8 clones that I took a week ago and have them in a dome type setting. Question is they all are still green and look healthy but how am I suppose to know if they are still alive or are they dying and just haven't turned color yet? O and I used all proper instructions for this method including using clone powder.

Not my current batch which took off in< 10 days, but my last batch took over 30 days. I hung with them because they were still green and looking fine. My patience was rewarded.

Green and healthy is a indication of alive, are they in dirt or some type of rooter? wait till roots poke out before planting, I have some strains bust roots in 4 days, I have some og's that take 2 weeks or more. if they aren't wilted and dry, let em go.

I have them in peat moss in clear plastic cups hoping to be able to see the roots when they appeared. They are green and look really healthy so hope they are. Thanks for the replies

Yes, I actually do the 2 cup thing for the reason you mention...seeing the roots without dumping plant.

View attachment 3466704 I have been cloning in clear plastic cups for years....I have never had any problems
Not saying it cannot be done. I have also...my first grow. Yes, I would think because they soon will be transplanted the net effect would be small BUT it is not recommended as they WILL green and that is not natural for them. So I choose to put my clear cups inside of red ones at a cost of walking around a yard after a party.

I have never had a problem. Saying that I have noticed some greening around the plastic and roots on occasion doesn't really seem to affect them though. Not saying it cant cause problems though

If you have a plant you can't replace just put the clones in a cup of distilled water for 2 weeks on a windowsill with a small wattage cfl on for night, you will get roots, it just takes a bit.
