okay first off i have taken about 12 clones what should i expect to get rooted?also i cut them last night and they were 4 weeks into flower , can i keep the lights on them 24/7 to try switch them back to veg NOW ? or what? i saw on Rollitup's thread wrote about cuttings he said to leave the light on 12/12 not sure if he ment for a cutting going into flower or what ..also how much light should i give them ? 1 20watt 6500k or a 65watt cfl? or more!? also my jiffy pellets/pots were loose around the stem is this going to cause problems ? anyone reading this grown in jiffys ?

i grow with jiffy pots i would soak the clones for 12 to24 hrs in water before the jiffy. they cold take a week to a month to root. and if they where in flowering i would leave them on 24/7 to help them switch back to vegging. hope this helps

they look sick and thats good for misting IMO and no leaves are good but don't be upset to find most of them will turn yellow and die cause the plant uses the nutes from the plant but is fine.

Too many leaves, I leave only the set of fans right at the top. I never mist but some swear by it.I put them right into 24 hours light till i see new growth,7-10 days.I put em on a heatmat and box temp is at 78f.

"i have taken about 12 clones what should i expect to get rooted?"

Do you mean time? It depends on your method of cloning, the cutting you took (woody or pulpy), and your environment. I've been anywhere from 3 days in a bubbler to 4 weeks in pro mix.

.

"also i cut them last night and they were 4 weeks into flower , can i keep the lights on them 24/7 to try switch them back to veg NOW ?"

Yes, right back to 24 hours light / 0 hours dark.

.

"i saw on Rollitup's thread wrote about cuttings he said to leave the light on 12/12 not sure if he ment for a cutting going into flower"

So long as the cutting hasn't gone woody and is still pulpy (soft, usually green skin on the cutting stem) the cutting will root quicker than a cutting from a 24/0 plant in veg - has to do with the type of cells produced during long dark periods (stretch works well).

.

"how much light should i give them ? 1 20watt 6500k or a 65watt cfl?"

The 20 watt should do, but the cuttings should not be directly under, off to the side. If you use the 65 watt cfl for the cuttings and other plants just have the cuttings not directly under the 65 watt cfl. When the light is on the plant focuses on photosynthesis, in the dark more energy is used for rooting. Use 18/6, it'll take longer to come out of flower but you'll get your clones. When rooted go 24/0 to revert to veg.

.

"also my jiffy pellets/pots were loose around the stem is this going to cause problems ? anyone reading this grown in jiffys ?"

Just squeeze the jiffy pellets gently to mold them up the stem a bit, a seal is important to keep the stem both moist and dark. Be sure to keep the pellets moist all the time.

Before transplanting the jiffys to a bigger cup/pot I cut off the white netting - I'm concerned about root constriction and a poorly developed root ball. It should decompose and expand with the roots but I haven't read anything about them so being the first time I used them I cut off to be careful. Use 3 or 4 cuts down the netting and be carefull that the peat doesn't split on the cuts as the roots that have gone through the netting are broken. Don't worry too much about that, they'll branch into new roots.

SmallClosetgrowr I just saw your pics - your cuttings are much longer than I use, I find that long cuttings are hard to root and the stem may bend on you. Depending on how green and pulpy the ends of your cuttings are you may want to measure 2" below the 2nd node from the top (leave only 2 leaf sets) and use a shorter cutting. Personal choice, I've never had luck with long cuttings.

Hmmm, I love the bubbler. The trouble with peat pellets is that they hold water too well and squeezing them can make them too dense. I put them on paper towels to drain some of the water when I first root them. Then I take care to never directly water the pellets. I mist or spray around the interior of the dome's bottom, but never put water directly into a pellet.
