u dont need rooting hormones......just take the clipping, put in the dirt and place a sandwhich bag over with holes or some kind of humidity dome... make sure ur misting the plants as well as the dome...should root within 7days....I've done this way and had 100percent success without buyin extra stuff.

how often do you mist? daily? do you water the soil or only misting?

yes, u should only need to water the soil once... but water as needed....i mist daily, maybe few times a day depending on how wet it looks inside....u need HIGH humidity for the clones...

it'll be higher inside the domes.....yes, i started in solo cups.. i'm gonna do peat pellets next time..so i can see if they root out... when i used solo cups i didnt know if they rooted or not until ii pulled them up..haha.. but once u start seeing little growth at the top they're rooted.

I've never used anything but balanced water, no nutes for misting. You actually want the cuttings to be "seeking" for nutes so they will put out roots. If they are foliar fed-then you end up feeding them and making them less likely to put out roots. I've also never used anything but soil for cuttings. All the advice has been pretty right-on in this thread. Use rooting compound, cut at an angle and use some kind of dome to keep the humidity way up. I use peat pots (not pellets) and fill them with seed starting soil mixture (Jiffy) and put cuttings directly into the soil. Roots pop out the bottom of the peat pots anywhere from 10 days to 2 weeks and then you know you are good to go.

Good luck with it!

I use very little root hormone on each cut end' and a good investment would be a heated propagator. I got mine for £10 and 100% have rooted up to now.
