Cloning the top?

I just topped 4 plants. The small tops had one to three mm of stem. Decided to put cloning gel on the stem and plant them in cups just to see if any would develop roots. Anyone try this before? This was my first time topping and my first time attempting a clone. If you can call it that.PXL_20230218_164401675.jpgPXL_20230218_164347699.jpg

I can see it working. I’ve seen someone root a plucked fan leaf.. so I won’t doubt this til it’s tried.

There's no reason they shouldn't root treated properly, I've personally found small shoots to root without any issue.

Using coco I'd keep it wet and have a dome over them with circa 24c.

Eta... The pots look a little dry to me, coco should be well watered but not sodden.
