I was wondering if anyone had some tips for cloning, Ive never tried it before and i got some beautiful WW Id like to clone.
Any tips?
I have a cloning tray with a dome and i have the bulbs and everything I just need to know how often to mist them and other tips are useful as well
Thanks :joint::hump:

I do it easy, get 1" rockwool cube, soak in PH 5.6 water for 30 mins. Take cuttings with clean razor and make cut under water. Cut 2/3 of leaves off cutting and clip some leaves in half so that plant will not transpire too much moisture. Split end of cutting stem and scrape a bit of the dermis off the end. Dip cutting in cloning gel (Rootech) liberally, place halfway into Cube. Place cube 18" under 400 Watt MH light, water 2 teaspoons of water each 2-3 days. Wait 10 days, no domes, mist 2 times per day for the first week and voila roots out the bottom of cube.

very effective.

so how do i split the end? like cut it in half? and i know how to scrape off the dermis at the bottom. can i use the cool air bulbs and warm air bulbs? and why cant i leave the dome on? it would help contain the moister content in there

What I've always done is almost the same as NoDrama but i use a cloning dome with a heating pad underneath with the temp at 75 F. and i do have an altitude dome on top of the tray

I didn't say you shouldn't use the dome, i just don't use it myself. I split them by using a sharp instrument (Scalpel) and cut em lengthwise about 1/4 inch. The heating pad will get even faster rooting, but my 400 keeps things warm enough.

ok cool, i use a heating pad because im using a warm air bulb and a cold air bulb both florescent so it wont be hot enough... i keep it at 75 is that good or should i bring up the temp a bit?

Hey mj ive had much success with cloning in a cup of water, following the standard cutting and scraping procedures described already, u can put these directly into a cup of water just covering the top of ur scraping and in a few days once u have White bumps on the stalks ( beginning root structure) u can place into any media u like . Soil, hydro, etc.

Its really that simple.... never used a dome, always trim bottom fan leaves during cutting, change water once a day and just indirect light bro.... widow maker describes it best at the top..

Hope that helps

So If your using say a red Dixie Cup about 12 oz. how do you know when the roots a taking hold so you can transfer?

Then how you go about that?

GrowTech

stays relevant.
Rapid rooter plugs always do really well for me... even when I have to use shitty water. I just picked up 72 500ml bottles of spring water though... so plants will be happy to get back to better water.

Yea My Brita Water Filter for the faucet had a piece break so I have to let Tap Water sit out tonight to use Until I can go get the part to fix it.

But I got all my soil an nutes so when it's time I'm ready to transport. I got some Miracle Grow root builder stuff(best stuff I could find) I plan to strat that on my little clone tomorrow as directed on box.

I only use that stuff in early stages right? to help roots develop?

Ok sweet cause i have the rapid rooter... im trying them out in the dome first because its something i had and id like to experiment. but as far as i been hearing everyone has different techniques and they all work relatively well
