Cloning Tips

hey i was wondering the idea for cloning i been tryin all and only 2 works or all die im using the power i know u gotta cut a 45dergees and do u shave the one side before using the power and is it better to cut under water or not? i want 100% this to work please and thx for the help....

im no expert on cloning but u should cut at 45.

put it under water so all the bubbles come out, stick it in the gell and plant it.

no u need to shave it but don't shave too deep try to pu some gel on the blade b4 u cut and soak the hell outa that cutting trim the tips of the fan leafs if your putting it in soil soak the hell outa the soil to if not soil put it in rockwool with a driper or cloner machine

i did some tonight and they seem to fall or wont live past a day what to u think i should do? i cut them 45 outta water put them back in then shave them and back in water and my soil is very dam and then put the powered on them and planted to soil and there like got 3 and they seem to die after a day all the time?

what light are you putting them in they arnt supposed to have alot of light

yeah they arn't supposed to be getting alot of light

t8 64 watt and it high so alot of light arent hitting them.......and no very bright it did the clones before.......usally 3 out of 6 made it last time i had 1 seed turn into 6 plants just want the 6 to flower soon and have a few more clones to get them running after and after u know what i mean right!!!and what should the light times be?

you ok with the light i think your branches are whats fucking you up if 3 of 6 work its gotta be your branches chose a good healthy branch and it has to come off from the main stem or the colon

where is the main stem and can u please explain and the cutting i took will they grow back in time?

yes they will but the main stem is the stem that was the first stem you had before your plant grew more stems

i do take them off the main stem but the onces i take r thin as hell should i wait to they get thicker and will the cuttin i took come back in time?

use thicker clones just make sure they are healthy and dont shave them too bad and make sure the water is plantifull good juck buddy

How difficult a plant is to clone definitely depends on the strain, and even then until you figure out a good technique it can be hard as hell. I finally broke down and built a bubble cloner and on one of my strains I can get roots in 3 days and they are more than halfway into flowering, another strain I'm lucky if 5/10 root.

I do not shave the sides, but I do shave the bottom set of leaves even with the stem and this is where the roots form, like the technique at http://www.weedfarmer.com/cannabis/cuttings.php

If your cuttings are dying after one day most likely they are not getting enough humidity, but regardless if you plan on doing cloning on a regular basis I would highly suggest building a cloner, its cheap and easy to do and it works great.

I use a 400 watt MH light the minute I take the cuttings, so i don't think its the light.
