I read that you can clone just using a cup full of water, it's in the grow FAQ, has anybody tried this I'd really like to know if this really works. :peace:

get a butter bowl pop 2 holes in the lid 1 for an air line one for the clone , fill it up till the water touches the bottem of the clone . I have had 100 % succes rate using this method and it was my firts time trying to clone. I use phed tap water with one airstone in each bowl , and I also dipped the clone in clonex root gel before I put it in the bowl . all of my clones had roots in 6 days

seriously, get a seedling tray and rockwool plugs for a total of ~$3, some rooting compound with IBA for ~$5, optionally throw a dome on the top for ~$6, stick under mild light, and you can't fail. otherwise just mist often or cover in staked saran wrap.

space-efficient and effective.

well i use my soil and a little green house i got for 6.50 it has a plastic dome out of 36 clones 25 lived. so it works good as i have no heat in my veg room. it is 60 to 70 only.

now last time i had some left over cuttings this is two weeks ago i put them in two cups of water and they look like they are growing. now i dont have time to wait as i can have roots in 9 days my way. but i thought its cool just put them in water and they still grow

yeah, i mean it's cool that you *can* clone in water, but with IBA + plugs + the dome i have had 100% success, unless you count my experiments of seeing just how few leaves i can take off a plant and still get it to root ...
