This is going to sound like a dumb question, I'm sure, but when you start plants from seed and you don't know what sex they are until they start flowering, how you are you ever supposed to take clones if you can only take them in veg? If you cut clones as soon as you see the preflowers, does that work?

Also, has anyone ever tried rooting in Superthrive? My experiment lately is to soak rockwool in a bowl of water with one drop of ST, then put the germinated seeds in there. Then I just plant the rockwool directly into the soil.

I read that willow water can be used as rooting solution -- you just boil a cut up willow branch (from any kind of willow) and use the tea. There's a huge weeping willow in our backyard so I'm going to give it a shot! I'm really interested to compare it to ST. I'll probably also get a commercial rooting compound just because I want to compare the three.

No question is dumb!!

I would assume it's safe to say is that you take clones from multiple plants that show GOOD Genetics and traits. Make sure you label all which stock you took it from and then when it's time for flowering you will then know which clones to throw away or you could save them for breeding. If I'm wrong then someone please tell me.

My Question is how long can you store a clone before putting thru real veg time and flowering? If I use a low watt flour. does that help. I have minimal space and don't want to keep using seeds. Only growing 5 and less at a time but starting with Fem. seeds. Any help would be great

Cut 6 super skunk clones in rapid rooters. The plant had just shown her sex.Put them under the classic dome with vents you see everywhere. The 50 cell unit!I have them under a medium standard plant grow light 150w during the day and 300w at night to keep my temps up.Im just guessing about the light as i cant get a response on light cycles and distance.Any suggestions?????:peace:

Sorry if you explain this above, but do you soak the rapid rooters in anything before putting the cutting into them. They seem to be wet so i was just curious to know.

thanks
