Closed Aeroponics System?

I'm planning on making my own DIY closed aeroponics system with 10 sites of 3" net cups. The reservoir I will be using is a 45 gallon sterilite tote tub. I will basically have a submersible water pump in there attached to an aeroponic sprinkler manifold that will be set on a 1 min on/ 4 mins off timer. Has anyone ever tried this before? I have had concerns about mold, algae, etc. growing in the reservoir since the system is closed, and I know that most aeroponic systems have a seperate reservoir from where water is pumped and drained. If anyone could throw me any tips or feedback that would be really helpful!

P.S. I will also have air stones in the reservoir to keep the water aerated.

If you're using long 4" pvc style pipes with the sites in the top,
just run the tubes directly into the side of the reservoir.

If you need the height in the res for nutes, you can run it above to
fall in and get some kind of 90* gutter attachment or makeshift
something to cover the waterfall at the end of the tubes into cut
holes in the top of the res.

I'm actually using a sterilite tote tub as my nute reservoir/plant site. An all in one system. I drilled a hole and installed a water nozzle (similar to the ones on 5 gallon water bottles for easily dispensing water) for easy weekly nute reservoir replacements.

I have seen some people do this and use large coolers for the res, they are light proof so it will help with the algae, and keeps your nutes temp in order... and they come with drain valves
