Cloud City is not me

Hey political pothead people,

I've had a brief absence from the wonderful world of debate here at RIU, and some strange things have happened while I was gone.

In an attempt to smear my name, a user has created an alias and is claiming to be ME.

Well, this person is NOT ME. I have my suspicions as to who this person is (a person whom I previously called out for using aliases of their own). I just wanted to set the record straight and let you guys know this Cloud City character who claims to be me, is NOT ME.

Actually, Cloud City never claimed to be you. I made that assertion.

Then some person who also picked up the sheer transparency of your ploy, started mocking Cloud City as CloudCity. I found it hilarious and predicted last night that you would mysteriously return today. And like magic... VOILA !!! ... here you are, back from the dead. And what a shocker, CC who has been a diligent poster, day and night is strangely silent.

But in any case, it's good to have you back doob. Did you say you had your medulla oblongata removed?

You made that assertion because YOU are Cloud City and wanted desperately to smear me and paint me as a troll. Apparently you've already forgotten some of the posts you made as Cloud City that did, in fact, claim that Cloud City and I are the same person.

This "diligent" poster, as you describe it, has made a whopping 13 posts since joining RIU. I guess that's because you've been so busy posting under your OTHER aliases that you haven't had the time to commit to your pathetic charade starring you as Cloud City and supposedly me?

Nice try, Cra...er, ObamaSanta. You assume that because YOU can't effectively debate without creating untold numbers of aliases to "back you up", that nobody can? What you aren't considering is that you're not as clever as you think you are, and not nearly as clever as I am.

This is sad guys. Let's have debates all day, but let's not bash each other. Why would Doob need to make an alias? No reason, he/she (not sure) does a fine job of repping him/her-self on this site. Let's not stoop so low as to try and make someone look bad.

I would love for doob to quote even ONE post from Cloud City claiming to be her. Not CloudCity (notice the missing space between cloud and city) but Cloud City, I've looked and I can't find one. I'm sure you already know this because you wouldn't intentionally out yourself. Take your time doob, find ONE.

Thanks, I think... that's precisely my point, too. I am outspoken in the debates that occur here, and I have NO REASON to hide behind an alias. If people don't like my opinion, fine, I don't really care. I don't need imaginary legions of parrots to back me up so I feel my opinion is somehow more "correct" than anyone else's. I call it like I see it, and I don't particularly care if anyone agrees or disagrees. That's the nature of OPINION, everyone has one and they aren't all the same.

What I do find interesting, though, is that a certain user or users whom I have previously accused of having multiple aliases used to back up their own opinions are the same ones who contend that this Cloud City person is MY alias.

A diversion tactic? Probably. An effective diversion tactic? Nope.

I haven't been here, so I wasn't aware that there were TWO users by the name of Cloud City (one with a space between the words and one without). The REAL Cloud City (with space) may have never claimed to be me, but the "CloudCity" account created by ObamaSanta and his other aliases DID.

I'm certain the reason for Cloud City's lack of posts probably has something to do with all the harrassment this individual endured as a result of YOUR assertion that he or she is ME.

Again, I have no other accounts on RIU. Whoever this Cloud City person is and whatever their reason for not posting this morning, I assure you it has nothing to do with ME. I have no reason to hide behind aliases. I couldn't care less if every user here disagrees with me, and I don't need to create an illusion of being agreed with in order to feel validated.

A completely valid point about you not needing an alias. Would stand on it's merit if it weren't for the fact that Cloud City was an obvious troll, trying to rile up and mock the Conservatives by starting every post with "and I'm a far right Conservative" and then belching out the same Liberal talking points that you espouse daily. It was WIDELY commented on that Cloud City was an alias of one of the "Regular" Libs and a complete troll. Your absence during the exact same period as well as the similarities in your viewpoints (fox news, Beck...blah blah blah) only reinforced my hypothesis. If I'm wrong, and I am in no way sure I am, I stand corrected.

As usual you declare yourself victorious simply because you are you. The fact is you've been accusing me of being CJ for much longer than I've ever accused you of aliasing. Multiple accounts? MMM, not so much. I have used this account exclusively from it's inception.
