cloudy/amber trichomes

So my plants are one day into tenth week flower. Some of he trichome stalks are amber. But most of the trichome heads are getting cloudy. Should I start flushing now? I certainly do not want to end up with all amber.
First grow, White Widow and Afgoo.
Appreciate any info.

If you're gonna flush, I'd say that it's high time you started.

They can't have more than a week or so to finish.

Hey,

You should definitely start flushing your plants now, so you fully get rid of any nutrients left in your plant. Give those girls pure H2O until you cut them. You should cut them when the trichomes are at least 60% amber, so you still have some time. Start flushing now and cut within 1-2 weeks happy smoking!

I always stop feeding once I see amber trics coming up, that's the sign my plants give me when they're getting into the final stretch.

dont the differnt levels of amber trics also make the high diff? more or less heavy? is 60% average? just curiouse im little less than midway through flower and this will be the first time i take the trics into consideration, unfortunatly... i would like to have always known this..

That's been a matter of great debate here :)

I take amber trics as the sigh of maturity, not the 'body high' thing. Of course, this may only hold true for MY PLANTS (Aurora Indica) and not someone elses, but that's how I grow. When I harvested earlier, I didn't get the 'headier high', I got what I would call an incomplete high, which I think is a result of immaturity.

Like I said, there's a lot of debate on this subject. Ask Brick Top, if he's still sweet enough to not take sugar :)

Thanks for the info guys.
I want the trich's to be more clear/cloudy for a more head high instead of couch lock.
So when I saw the trichome stalks turning amber, I wanted to check. Cuz in the pics I have seen the whole trichome is amber. Not just the stalk.
I really don't really care for the couch lock thing. But I will flush tonight and go from there. I check them every evening. SO this change basically happened overnight.
What happens is what happens. There is no turning back the clock.

Sounds like you like the sativa high, stick with growing them and you'll not have to worry about couchlock.

Flowering time a a little longer than an indica, but it's worth it.

Where do the amber trics first show up? I am right with the Op starting 10th week of flower Friday. My buds are big and fat but i can't find a single amber tric.

Well, the upper buds usually mature a little faster because they are nearer the lights, unless you lst, srcog or something of the like.

But as for the placement of the amber trichs, well they will be randomly scattered and you'll need to look in several spots to determine ripeness.

You just have to know when you want to harvest (i.e. head or body high), it's all a matter of taste and opinion.

There are endless threads on trich color, bud ripeness, harvesting and curing.
