cmh 630w de r red spectrum 3100

im just about to swap out half of my 1000w gavitas and im replacing them with 630w de cmh's. i have the fixtures now im ready to order the bulbs but this red spectrum option has me on the fence.
anybody try both? cant find any side by reviews or any info besides what the manufacturers state...

anybody have real world experience with them? only looking for 630w de help, i have lots of exp with se 315's

i'm familiar with the se 315 too. do you have a spectrum chart for that 630? i'm curious to how it compares to the 315.

just noticed that the 3100k has 1200 umols vs 1100 on the 3100k-r

i'm hardly an expert (and my 315 was the 4200K bulb) but i would think the extra red would be better.

That doesn't always mean much, its like comparing the efficiency of 80cri diodes to 90cri, the 80cri looks better on paper due to more of the spectrum been in par range (I think) but in real world tests the 90cri doesn't perform less and plants seem to ripen a little quicker.
There's a lot of far red in that spectrum by the look of it. I can only talk about when I used HPS, the super red bulbs gave more stretch but bigger buds than duel spec .
Don't know if that's any use to you going forward with a decision.

already have the hps kicking from the gavitas so im going full spectrum, im gonna try the red in one fixture and see if theres a diff in that area. guess i should buy them from amazon just in case the red lamp wins i can exchange the full spectrum lamps for red.

anybody know which bulb manufacturer is king? all im finding are these no name brands like growers choice, i power, hydro crunch, etc. not feeling too confident on these names....
