I was wondering if any of you have experience with topolite cmh? Is there a huge difference in the cheap shit? I was thinking about grabbing some for veg. I found 4 topolite 315s for $80 each. Apparently only used once. Thanks.

At 80$ each, why not look for a Phillips on Amazon or eBay? Or somewhere. At the top of my head, only thing I can see wrong with a cheap bulb is the spectrum will be a little off. I.e. more green less red. Just a guess. But you should be fine with any bulb intended for horticulture. Except blurple UFOs

I was thinking the same but also worried that the ballast might die as soon as I plug in. Whatever. It’s worth a shot for $300 I guess. Thanks.

$320 for four is a great price if they work, if not you haven't lost too much.
I take it that you're not picking them up.

Idk man. If I were u I'd prob save my money and grab a great set up with a good warranty ....if your in an area where getting it makes things a pain in the ass. I'm sure you could find someone willing to help you. I do know that a CMH with screw in LEDs is pretty much the best for home growers in my opinion. I've got a few gardens under my belt.

$80 is a hell of a deal. Get them. I'm doing my first grow with CMH and so far really liking it. I'm first week into flowering after vegging 4 weeks, and plants are looking extremely healthy.

Sweet. I’m just gonna use them for veg to keep the heat down. My veg room is already getting pretty hot with 4 1000s in there.

Thanks for the response folks.

ignore the branding cost, just for the light itself. expensive one always with well tunned spectrum and 10% more total output. and if we look into effective output (the Par on the red and blue, not green) is difference is even more
