CO2 and CFL's

I have looked all over, search after search, reading and more reading...sorry if I missed a thread about this already posted.

I hear some people say it's no use injecting CO2 in a CFL grow. Is this true? My area is 20 cu ft & sealed, 2x2x5, I have T5's, 20k lumens, and produce quite dense nugs. I can't help but think CO2 could help even more. Am I wrong?

I would love to hear about this also... I didn't think the type of light made a difference. I've got an 8 bank of 2 ft. t-5's that i'm setting up with CO2...

Well, the "type" of light doesn't matter per se, it's the amount of light. Your plant is limited on the amount of CO2 it can take in by the other environmental factors, water and light. If the light is too low, not meaning too low to grow, but low enough that more CO2 is useless to the plant. Just like adding more water wont necessarily help you grow bigger, you need more more light to speed up production, thus using more water. CO2 speeds up the plants metabolism and if there is not the light it needs in correlation with the CO2, the CO2 does no good. CO2 will speed up all aspects of the grow, more water, more nutes. Does that make any sense at all? It's what I have read, and it makes sense to me, I just don't know if I said it right lol.

I don't know but I would assume people would say that because generally CFL grows are limited by other factors, making CO2 less useful. If your grow is pretty well dialed in I suppose why not give CO2 a shot? Let us know your results! :D

Wow, 80 views and only 2 comments, one of which was someone else wanting to know the same thing... I figured someone would have something to say lol.

i know this thread is ancient, almost 7 years ago, if a small grow box is all you had room for and couldn't get enough fresh air to it, then i would say go for it, add c02, maybe a 2.5 lb or 5 pound tank
