co2!!! how do i know

i made that cheap and easy, yeast sugar water, its been ready for a 5 days now how do i know co2 is generated?

put a canary in there, if it passes out then you have acceptable CO2 levels, if it starts to nest then levels need to be upped.

I just (less than 5 min. ago) re-did my co2 with the same mix as you. When it begins to bubble (it'll look like it's foaming) that means it's generating co2 first time may take about 10 minutes! Be patient. Online I've read that you can use this for up to 4-5 weeks. I wish! maybe it's 'cause I have a fan constantly blowing across my plants but this mix only lasts 2-3 weeks. Again for about $2 this ain't bad! I use cut off 2-liter soda bottles and place 2 of these in amongst my 20 plants. Check on it every day, you might have to put in more water as it evaporates or adjust the yeast/sugar ratio. You will quickly pick up a 'feel' for what it should look/smell like when it is at optimum.

its jus smells liek yeast but it ives of amazing bubbles so mcuh ti shoots out the hole the liquid dose lol
