co2 water

so can i just put some selzer water in a squirt bottle spray it on my plants to add c02 or am i just wasteing my time??

Tried it once....didn't hurt, didn't seem to help either. And tomorrow all the fiz will be gone. If your're in a small space the 2 litre, sugar and yeast method seems feasible. Good luck. If one could conceive a way to provide the home grower with cheap effective co2 you could make a million bucks.

I can't imagine that working, plus the acidic water could harm the leaves. The easiest way to produce co2 is:

1. buy a co2 container from a petstore, usually used for aquariums

or

2. make a co2 generator my mixing water, yeast and sugar in a bottle. Keep the bottle close to the plant. Change every 2 weeks.
