COB Array with Cali-Light 440

Hi All:
I have a 4 x 4 with a Cali Lightworks Solarstorm 440. Just completed first grow with this setup. Quality was excellent but yield was poor. I would like to build a square "donut" shaped COB array with Vero 29's.
I am thinking 8 COBS--- 1 each in the 4 corners and one each at 12, 3,6 and 9 o'clock. The 440 would remain centered and would be used for VEG. The 440 + COB array woud be used for flowering. I would like to achieve about 400 watts in the COB array which when combined with the 440 would yield about 700 total watts. Questions: Which Vero 29's.... the "D"'s at 36 volt or the "C"'s at 50 volts.... what is the difference? Is there a single driver that can adequately power the 8 lights or is it better to use 2 drivers? If so what driver do you recommend? Any help in putting together the parts list and ideas for building the frame would be most appreciated!!

which one do you have, the one with the 44 diodes per board or 72 diodes per board?

The yield was about 165gr..... so a little over .5gr per watt..... pretty poor. Part of it was the genetics and also my tent was running too cool for LEDS.... average temperature was in the low 70's.... I am hoping that when I add my COB array I will not only get more PPFD but also a 5-7 degree bump in temperature during flowering.

yeah you want mid-upper 80s. get one of those $30 harbor freight IR thermometers to measure leaf temps, and put your exhaust fan on a thermostat and you should be able to get 1+ gpw with those. adding cobs wont hurt of course but there is such a thing as too much light, how big is your space?

I have a 4x4 tent with flood/drain table. can you recommend a thermostat for my exhaust?
Was also thinking of adding a panel type heater to bring up the temperature saw some on Amazon that might work. Gonna pull the plug on my COB Array..... MW 480H 1400 with 4 Vero29 3000 90CRI and 4 Vero 29 3500K 80CRI..... should pull about 400 watts.... combined with the Cali 440 I'll have about 700 watts for flowering... this should get me to 1+ gram/watt if I do my part.

theres dozens. google "thermostat humistat grow tent"

ideally a thermo/humistat combo so you can keep both in range.
