COB Manufacturers other than CREE or BRIDGELUX

Which led brand /manufacturer do you use ?

Ok, we have cree xlamps or bridgelux vero proven to be suitable for grow, whatever colour temperature you're into. My questions would be: what abouts others brands ? Has any of you tried osram or lumiled cobs ? An how about japanese stuff: sharp, citizen, nichia, toyonia. Some time ago, the net was flooded with nichia recommendations ? And than comes epistar, the ali-star. Anyway: this is a good place to share your experience. Curious to see what stuff comes out of this. After all, cree is really expensive...

the only other brand I know for a fact that ive seen and i don't know if its out yet is Phillips cobs.. all the other brands seem like cheap Chinese stuff.. just with another brands sticker. sharp i have no idea what they're up to.. but sometimes they just re brand other peoples stuff.. so it depends

U got citizen led , nichia ( cob from them arent bad it seems ) Luxeon , phillips , Osram .

I took a look from their datasheet , but it seems that Cree and bridgelux cob are the best for us (spectrum , efficiency ect .... )

I use smaller Gen 1 Xnovas in my veg cab (4000K). They work fine running at 450mA. I think @puffenuff has flowered with some Gen 1s. I really love what some members have done for COB growing but more people need to take some chances too. If a COB can produce 130+ lumens per watts in a real world setting I'll bet a dollar that it probably can flower a plant. The math is your guide not the 10 Commandments or at least should be in my very humble opinion.

Don't forget Toshiba who is/was Bridgelux tech partners and now that Blux has been sold, they may very well be the company that produces COBs as good as the Vero line. Sharps aren't terribly efficient, though I think the Tiger line is fuckin' cool. Supra wasn't a terribly big fan of Nichia's COBs. Stay away from Phillips. And if I wasn't on my phone I would link you to a few Chinese companies that are competent enough to build quality COBs though probably not in league with CREE's offerings.

And Luxonprobably makes a quality COB too.

Anyone know how much cost the luminus 140w?!
Vero are cheap...is there some with a comparable efficiency but cheaper??!
I need a vegg pannel for 11sq/ft and I think about vero13 @350mA (16) with hlg-120-350b...but I am open to suggestions!

It's pretty darn good at nominal current. Better than the 3590 at that power actually. Very interesting. @SupraSPL Not the most detailed characteristic charts, but definitely worth a look. 140-144lm/w at 117w nominal.
