Advice: PH'ing medium is a big controversy, and usually will start a heated discussion every time.
Many threads here debating what to do, some guys only check runoff, some PH soil, but I am one of the ones that PH's my water and leaves it at that.
For me, I would just PH my water to 5.8 or close to that after adding nutes if you're going to feed, but then again, the 5.8 is also bound to bring up some conversation, as a few people go higher.PHRANGECHART_zpsddd4a5c5.gif

5.4 - 6.2 pH coco coir. as was mentioned 5.8 pH is good.
I agree pH your nutrient solution. IMO- I would also get a soil pH meter to test the growing medium. there really cheap. That way you have your pH Meter to test solution, and run-off, and the soil pH meter to test the medium. There's no guessing if you run into problems later down the road.
IMO- I would only use the Cal/Mag once a month as a preventative measure. If you run into Calcium, magnesium deficiency problems than you would use it every watering until the problem is corrected.
