Wouldn't hurt at all to flush them, and then you can check and see what the runoff looks like.

I've got something going on with my stuff in veg too....Major yellowing in new growth.

There isn't really any runoff with the blumats
unless they keep the medium saturated, you are likely getting salt build up. it might not be a big deal for most of the grow, but giving it a thorough top feed to runoff will refresh it and keep things nice till the end

I'll plan on giving them a top feed flush in the next night or two. Not going to be home before lights off the next couple nights.

that's one of the issues with coco and blumats. keeping them wet isn't as good as giving them constant runoff IMO.

what happens if you add 2 blumats per plant? ever try it?
Not yet. I may try next run with fewer plants in that tent. That said, I haven't really had any problems up until this point running blumats in coco.

Hello everyone this is my first run in my new tent 2x4, I use coco/perlite around 50/50 with mykos granular mixed in the coco too before I transplant. I use sensi base. Big bud. Nirvana and bvits, did experiment on plant to the right with jus base and it has underperformed compared, needed to stack books under it and yield and smells are lower. They are all clones took at exact same size left and right are grapefruit diesel the terps are amazing and center is jilly bean bubblegum. Also have a uvb light from migro which will start use in a week first time I will be using it.
Watched a few kyle kushman training videos beforehand as I always thought my training/defol was poor and affected my grows, the taking of low nodes early before switch and to understand why you are doing that was amazing advice obvs I did not full chiropractic and bend which levels the nodes not needing anymore pinching them off after flowering, so I only still carry on pinching until end of week 3 worked out great learned alot and still not 100% there.

Excited to step back into coco. Plain picture but to know it will be one rez and one drain tub, says a lot. This round will be easier because of this so I like this picture. Coco nuts!! 40 gallons! Less work as possible. Im going to actually enjoy coco this time.

I love using my old equipment, meant to make rinsing/buffering and mixing nice and easy. 20 gal trash bin with dolly which is also good for lugging water to fill a large resivoir. Large, tall 20 gal fabric pot also for the preparation process being easier.

I soak coco in 5 gal buckets, feel out that it is mostly full to eye ball 4 gal at a time to desired portion. I eye balled this run perfectly. Just over 6 gal coco. I use a marked 5 gal bucket so I know how many gallons I just made before buffering. Dump it into 20 gal fabric pot.

I use a 1/8” mesh screen to rinse, a 7”x12” strainer. I figured out that 3 cap fulls of calmag cali magic per 5 gallons water makes 1.2EC solution so no need to measure, saves a step. I can make close to 20 gallons at a time like this. I use trash bin to dunk coco in water and squeeze out twice to rinse off calmg.

I use a 25 gal tub to mix it so it is a breeze, harder to do in a smaller container. 90/10 is my favorite ratio pearlite. 1 quart pearlite per 2 gallons coco. Nice clean coco ready for action! 6 gallons this run. I like prepping my own coco because I can say it is rinsed/buffered if any issues arise and weave that out. Double buffered 8 hrs at a time soaking.

I like Nutrifield coco bricks they have been the easiest to break down with butter knife than others that took drills and anything to break apart. It is far the cleanest coco too but it still has a lot of sand, dust and etc to rinse off. Others had pollutants. I rinse the pearlite too.
