Here's the info off the back of the bottles as requested......again I must thk u guys for helping me understand the pros and cons of using coco......I'm in Scotland guys my tap water that I use has an EC of 90 with 50ppm......I've came to the conclusion that the 2 plants I'm having difficulty with is probably down to genetics although usually dinafem r pretty spot on......but .....the outher plants r still mediocre at best compared to plants I no I'm capable of growing even in soil(have a look at my last grow in soil)
With r/o or distilled you have to use calmag with canna it only has a little cal and mag in. I use 5ml per gallon.

With a+b always add them at equal doses.

Honestly 1600-2000 ppm seems very high imo. I've done complete runs with no higher than 800ppm and they were perfect. Only use the pk 13/14 (or whatever nuts you're using) for one week. (Start around day 21-24).
Once your using around 6ml a/b per gallon you no longer need to add calmag as there will be an abundance of it from the canna nutes.

If you water daily I wouldn't water for runoff but 1-2x per week. Don't let the pot get dry, you always want a little weight to it.

It doesn't take a lot of nutes for plants to like canna. You don't ever really need to go over 50% of what canna recommends.

Cannazym is pointless unless you are reusing your coco after your grow imo. It's an enzyme that helps speed up the process of breaking down dead root material.

bottom line

it just depends on how much % of calcium is in the bottle vs how much calcium and magnesium is in your source water

I believe canna makes several version and it may even vary between countries .... somebody a while back had a bottle of canna something that had a lot of calcium

if your dosing 5mls per gallon and your fertilizer has more than 6% calcium you wont need calmag
if your dosing 5mls per gallon and your fertilizer has 5% calcium you may or may not need calmag depending on the source water

if your dosing 5mls per gallon and your fertilizer has 4% or less calcium,, youll certainly need calmag to get more calcium

I grow in coco and never have had to add any calmag. The nutrients I use have calcium nitrate for the nitrogen source so never a problem with calcium deficiency.

your fertilizer has 13% calcium, which is too much unless your growing tomatoes

that's why you never need to add more

anything more than 3mls per gallon of that product ...has too much calcium

youll want to use either EC or PPM to gauge your water salinity ... not both

EC is preferable and considered universal
PPM meter can differ depending on the brand

some will do both... if your meter does both then use the EC ... if it only does PPM then use it until it breaks and next time buy an EC meter

That's just part A of a three part nutrient line. It's not 13% calcium. It's 13% calcium nitrate. Calcium nitrate is a better nitrogen source than the urea and Ammonia based nitrogen sources used in much of the fancy nutrient lines. I've been using this line for years and it is as good or better than anything else I've tried and that includes several of the name brands out there. I have not had a single nutrient issue since I've been using the three part VitaGrow.

percent composition of calcium nitrate, Ca(NO3)2.

Ca = 40.08 x 1 = 40.08
Ca(NO3)2 = 40.08 + 28.02 + 96.00 = 164.10

N = 14.01 x 2 = 28.02

O = 16.00 x 6 = 96.00

well the label says its 13% N and 13% calcium

proportionally that's a high % of calcium making it very strong in calcium compared to the other elements
so using a small amount provides oodles of calcium

most of the commonly used fertilizers only contain 4% to 6% Ca

im glad your happy with your fertilizer and ive got nothing negative to say about it,... mixed properly im sure its just fine but that's a lot of calcium so it wont require much of that part of the formula to reach the calcium needs .. but the reason your not in need of calmag is because you've got plenty in your base where as other fertilizer are commonly only 4% calcium
