I have heard that colder temps at night create purple pistils, I have also heard that cold will only make a purple strain more purple.
I'm asking, 'cuz the girl I buy my dope from (My seed source) has grown a couple in her backyard, and the buds on her plants were purple. Same seed stock. I'd LIKE to get mine purple as well, because right, wrong, or indifferent, here when people see purple, they'll pay double.

I remember reading that a 20degrees drop from day to night will bring out the purple

I hear cold temps can make marijuana turn purple, one of my first 3 plants (from bagseed) just decided to start turning purple a little more than halfway through flowering and I figured it was because fo this one night where the temp got esp. low

almost every one of my outdoor plants in the NE turned mostly purple, its the natural response for MOST genetics to turn purple when the temp. drop at night is drastic.

the purple comes from the strain and cool temps...try keeping your room @ 60.0 f at night.. 70-75 daytime ..the colors should come out in the leaves stems budds ..keepin the nutes on the hi side can do it also...

I'm pretty sure its from a lack of either patasium or phosphorus. When the plant gets too cold it can lock out the intake of one of these nutrients.
