Collecting seeds, does color change?

I just harvest one of my Purple Bubba Kush plants, and got some seeds (thought I might have not gotten a male out early enough and I was right lol). Im not to concerned that she got pregnant because now I just have some free seeds of a good quality plant.

The seeds are all mostly green with a slight brown tint to them and black stripes. After a day the seeds that I picked out and put in a glass jar in the dark, and the seeds are turning more brown. She was harvested at 7 weeks flowering. Is it normal for the seeds to darken up as they dry out a little? Do you think these seeds will be good later?

IDK, maybe. I allow close to 5 weeks to mature seeds, so it depends on when she got pollinated.

Some might be mature and be ok, some not.

I've never really noticed seeds darkening up after harvest, but like I said, when I'm doing seeds, I'm not that concerned with the bud AFA smoking.

I got seeds last round too and noticed a similar pattern, I think it just has to do with them drying a little. After a day or two from when they were harvested they shouldn't be changing anymore. And you'll want to look for the ones that don't have much if any green to them and are fully formed. Those will be your best bets on being mature and viable.
