theres gotta be a few of you guys that stood in those lines to buy some of the first legal marijuana.
were the prices really 500 dollars an ounce? cause that sounds insane. there are places were the price is half that for top shelf buds in non legal states.

I saw a receipt on the Colorado medical forum. It was over $90 a quarter plus tax. I can have a felony ounce delivered to my house for $300. I think the prices will go down when the hype wears off and people start growing more of their own.

It should go down a bit -- in late September it was 5-8 a gram at the medical shop, was excellent quality. Less demand, good supply. Right now, there are a shit ton of applications in for growers and shops. That'll help with the prices.

I'm just hoping for 2 things -- we don't see a lot of traffic from CO down here, that'd really fuck up the experiment and cause the feds to crack down. And the shops down here step up their game in response to the success in CO. Would really help NM's economy if they'd legalize here. Right now, it's easier to walk down the street and find meth than it is to find weed.

Yeah, just like gas prices go down.Milk prices are dropping to right? Why is it that people feel the need to fund their state's Gov't with mj? What a joke. How do you think that you can feed the machine more money and it will solve anything. All you are doing is funneling money into big gov't pockets.MJ money isn't a drop in the bucket in the world of politics when it comes to a solution.Sure a select few will gain millions. But when the millions come from me,you, and the next guy ,where's the win for us?

Not looking at solving anything. I don't expect a stopgap like marijuana sales would save anything, but it'll slow the decline a bit, and it'll get the police to fuck off the pot smokers. I predict it WILL lead to an influx in marijuana sales busts, though.

A difference between the milk/gas thing ... Right now the only organizations big enough to drive prices are criminal. It will balance, but not down to pre-legalization prices.

Lots of predictions all over the place, some people say prices will go way down, some say they'll stay sky high. Everyone is just guessing.

If anyone is against legal weed why don't they keep selling illegally ?

Speculation, not prediction...

Alcohol was prohibited, became expensive, and then cheap for people that could find it. It was legalized and the price went up, as demand (legal) caused supply to drop. The pricing in Colorado went up, as supply went down and demand kept increasing.

I don't know how it'll all shake out, but I think that the shops, wanting to keep profit and dissuade people from buying illegally, thus jeopardizing their legitimate business, and their legitimate budding industry, will be competitive in pricing.

Its mainly a tax on tourists. Residents will either get med cards under non verifiable chronic pain, have friends that grow, grow their own, or find a black market dealer (easily done on craigslist) they use over and over. Med prices did not change.

I voted yes on A64 but no on the tax value.

yeah, i don't get that either, especially considering that we're on a forum dedicated to growing cannabis, i'd have thought most people here haven't bought a bag of weed in god knows how long, at least i know that i haven't..
saying that, if weed were ever to become legal in my state, i could care less what it sold for as i wouldn't be buying it, i'd just be thankful i'd not be getting locked up for under a gram of weed, yet again..

idk, i just don't understand people bitching about the prices on legal weed.. eff me, legal weed, how fucking cool is that? than they seem to forget that other people in the same country of them are still being locked up for small quantities of cannabis, idk, just irks my liver is all..

i'd never fake an illness just so that i could get a med card, that's one of my biggest issues about medical in the first place, too many healthy people suddenly got "sick" when they found out weed was a cure for whatever they had..

the laws are being drafted to make growing illegal. So they'll just lock you up for tax crimes.BTW,they carry much stiffer penalties then your gram o weed charges

Curious if places are selling beans to the general public.

I'd take a trip out there just to stock up and not have to worry about customs nabbing my orders.

shhh, don't tell anyone, but it's illegal to grow where i live now, and pretty much all of the us of a for that matter, medical or not, you're still breaking federal law the second you germ a single bean, but of course we all know this..
i'll take my risks the same as i do now growing if it's against the law, it'd still be nice not to have to worry about getting harassed over small amounts of cannabis once, if, it goes fully legal on the federal level is all i'm saying..

What are the penalties for taking seeds across a state line IF (yes, a big if, due to their size) you get caught? Is it similar to cannabis in that it would be considered a felony?

it would all depend on the state that you get caught in obviously tip top.. some states are more draconian then others.. typically in the us, the more south and east you go, the worst the laws regarding cannabis are.. states like texas are pretty well known to being strict on just about everything..
cannabis isn't usually a felony here though unless it's over a certain amount as far as i know, any some states, anything under an ounce in considered nothing more then a traffic violation, with small fines attached.. not mine mind you, lol, but some of them..
that's what pisses me off though, people in these states who bitch about the pricing when people in the same country are still going to jail over the same thing..
