anything but skiing!

tends to get stormy in the afternoons during summer here. so any outdoor activities are best done in the morning, then spend the afternoon doing your indoor activities.

you could probably spend one afternoon simply driving down broadway ave, there's about 638 dispensaries to check out there.

a few miles up the road is downtown denver. 16th street mall is kinda the busy area and/or tourist area. it gets swamped with the professional homeless and trust fund homeless kids in summer though. so heads up for that.

if it's real hot, just head west into the mountains. that's where the real beauty is, and end of july is a perfect time for the mountains.

you can check out dinosaur fossils and whatnot over on the west side of town in the foothills. i did that once and it was OK enough, pretty interesting.

red rocks is a natural amphitheatre, if you can find a concert or movie there while you're here that's always worth it.

my favorite thing to do in the summer is take a drive up mt. evans. it's the highest paved road in the world, all the way up to 14000+ feet. you can literally see 60% of the state from up there on a clear day. i drove up to the peak in july one time and it was snowing up there!

boulder is the other big town in the metro area, about 40 minutes northwest of denver. kind of a hippy town but beautiful. pearl street is boulder's 16th street mall.

hopefully others will come around and list all the stuff i missed.

Visit the Garden of the Gods if the weather is nice.

A really trippy place is Bishops Castle, not sure of the seasonal schedule and this guy is a piece of work, but he built it by hand

Drive thru the mountains to places like eagle, breck, vail, telluride.... the drive alone... omg

Get high on Pikes Peak.

You want good puff, avoid most dispensaries south of the springs and at least half of those remaining.

hmu if in puebo.

Just curios how long it takes to drive up a mountain like that and if it's challenging or nice wide roads?

not sure how long exactly. it's like an hour outside of town and then another hour or two to the top.

the road is pretty easy to navigate but it still feels scary pretty much the entire time.

If you are near downtown Denver, I recommend smoking a good bowl and touring the Denver Art Museum. Great architecture if you like funky lines.

Be careful going up to high elevations like top of Mt. Evans or Pike's Peak. They kick a lot of sea level ass.
