Combining Different Lights

is it possible to combine numerous types of lights to produce a good yield? E.G.if some floros were mixed with some cfl's, they would obviously produce a crop, but would it be nice bud, potent and crispy, thats how its gotta be, and thats how like it, and if there is a reasonably cheap way to get the buds like that ,without forking out on hid lamps, then i would definitely invest in some good floros and cfl's. but only if i know it is going to work. ATM, i have two 21w floro bulbs in cool and warm white at 3750k (does anyone know what the lumen output for these are?) and the seedlings sprouted and are well on their way, how long until i need knew lights, or could i buy some more floros and cfl's and put em together???

You can do anything you want to. If you don't want to spend $120.00 for a 400watt hps light don't buy one. The lights you have are good for the first few weeks of vegetative growth and most of us use them for that at least. I try to switch mine from floros to the bigger lumens after three weeks of vegetaive growth. The plants are old enough to take the light then. I start about 2' from the top of the plants and move it down a few inches a day. But I'm only using a 400 watt hps. If you use a 1000 watt of course you would start with it a ;ittle higher.

I am using two bathroom vanity 3way strips per cabinet. I have two 1 is 3x2x1 the other 5x2x1. The smaller cabinet I use 4 6500k / 23watt / 1600 lumen and 2 2700k / 42watt / 2600 lumen for a total of 11600 lumen. Divided by 2 square feet of canopy that is 5800 lumens per sqft. Is my math good? The larger cabinet I use 4 2700k / 42watt / 2600 lumen and 2 10.0 UVB (lumens?), that is 5200+lumens per 2 sqft canopy. I like what I see so far. I also run a 12 on 12 off schedule for both cabinets. As the plants grow and sex is determined they are moved to the larger cabinet. I am starting a grow journal and will show after my second harvest is done, I did not start taking pics until second batch started. A good mix of lights just makes these plants pop. Like I said I am liking what I am seeing... ALOT.

Dude there are 150w hps's on sale for $20. Do not buy another flouro, just get a couple of those and you'll never regret it. HPS kicks flouro's asses.

The lights you have put out very few lumens, you'll be lucky to get by until the HPS arrives if you order now. Don't get more CFL's, it doesn't make sense to buy them with the HPS so cheap.

Right on i will probably buy one of these but i have one question before i do. wait 2 q's.. does it require a ballast or anything special or is it ready to go? and does it come with the bulb?

includes ballast and bulb, ready to go except you'll just have to wire a cord with a plug in end to it. You can take a cord off anything (3 prong) or use a computer power cord or extension cord, just connect green to green, white to white, and black to black.
