Congradulations Smilingbigfoot. Sounds like you are a prime candatate to get busted for starters. Growing on public land is very stupid unless you don't mind getting busted. Second most guys who have gotten to the point of being a commercial grower don't usually need advice.

my county has over 500,000 aces of public land and a poplulation 100,000. That means there is less than 200 DEC and State Park law enforcement officers.

No bodyever gets busted on public land the worst that happens is the sheriff confincates it and burns it.

Don't listen to all the raspberries. You care for and have sensimilla with three weeks passing between each visit. Don't leave a beaten path to your plants, and you might have some this fall. Laughing at your idea about stealth care in todays climate is unhelpful. Its a point a view thing. Its better to have some in the fall then nothing. You mentioned ploymer water retaining crystals, they work and they are worm friendly. Earth worm castings are great, try and get a compost that has worm castings, compost and cocoons. Build your soil to hold water, and try and keep it organic, less empty cartons of 7-7-7 laying around. And be discrete about your location if no one knows its less likely anybody will visit your plants take them and go.

This inspires me to grow outdoors but I have more fear of someone robbing my plants than a fear of getting caught. I have read many stories of yields of 4+ lbs per plant, I am not sure that I can achieve this. I am looking for land in mid to northern cali now...

The link in my sig is a commercial grow. This is a hobbyist looking to expand. That's cool though, dont sweat the terminology too much people read a lot into things sometimes. :)

Weed grows in the wild, yes. We buy it as Mexican Brick Weed. Its shit, poorly watered, poor nutrients if anything other than just dirt. To grow GOOD weed, you need to be attentive to the plants. Indoors you better be available at LEAST every 2 or 3 days. I dont even like going more than a few hours.

Since each day the plant does something different, whether it be growing, or budding, or finishing up, the days that you have fucked up plants are going to stunt your ENTIRE grow. Fuck it up in veg, and you'll have a terrible flower. Light didnt turn off for 3 days in flower? Dont mind the seeds then. etc etc etc.....

Watch a few grow DVD's, it'll give you an idea of what to do. It isnt a get rich quick scheme, most folks use a year of growing to really nail things down.
