Compact grow box?

I looked all over the Growfaqs and was unable to locate plans for a compact grow box. My situation has recently changed and I am only able to grow in something compact that can be fit into a small closet. Any ideas?

how compact is compact, and how big is your closet you reference? there are a variety of options, including turn-key fully equipped units to purchase or a build ur own approach. each approach has its benefits and compromises, so you need to think about your needs, your resources, your limitations and those kinds of things. the people here are all very experienced and very willing to provide help and ideas for a whole host of applications. you'll get a good answer once you let us all know what you're really thinking about.

The exact specs I have for space are 3 FT wide-3 FT high and 2 FT deep is the area I can work with. I know I can fit something here just not anything to big. Does this help?

i have the same dilemma. i purchased a cabinet and drilled my light and fan set up on the top. i have 4 43 watt cfls. i am waiting on seeds to begin using it. i used black electrical tape to cover any cracks where the light could escape. the ventilation system i built with a small fan and black tube vents is whisper quiet and all cost me about $100-$125 bucks for the entire setup. you will definitely want to keep the light very close to the plants so that they grow wide, not tall. the cabinet will allow for about 2 feet of height growth. just get a short strain like hindu kush and you should be solid

yup....did you want to build it urself or take sumthin off the shelved totally equipped? that is generaly dctated by the $$ available. if you search around the archives there are quite a few alternatives, use a serach word box or stealth or cabinet....that might help you get a little more oriented?

Ya Appreciate the help. I have seen some plans in various posts on here with pics and all, and now I cant seem to find them...But ya I was thinking about just winging it.

You can take a look at my grow journal in the signature, 1st page is my setup. Its smaller but ive got 2 nice plants growing with 300W cfl.
