My local grow shop sells compost tea for 10.00
I have air stones and a bucket and organic molasses. Can I purchase the compost tea and just keep it brewing perpetually:?:

That's a total rip-off considering after you get the amendments it will only cost you a few cents per gallon to make your own compost tea.

That's more BS to justify the ridiculous cost. The internet is FULL of fantastic recipes. http://microbeorganics.com/ Whatever they are brewing will not be any better than the discussions on that link. Seriously, I would not place much value on their tea, and will again say you can make your own and likely better. Don't worry about perpetuating their tea,

ACCT teas must be used immediately after brewing. There is NO shelf life and the tea starts to degrade as soon as it is removed from the brewing bucket. Teas should be brewed for 12hrs minimum to 36 hours maximum. Brewing your own is easy and can be done for a few cents. I would never trust off the shelf brewed organic additives.

Then you should take a moment and find out just how straightforward ACT is. Of course you can afford the ingredients. This is just more BS on the part of the local shops. Big time bullshit.

i cant find it online but ill ask him for a list next time but the idea i like is that i dont have to bew my own shit. when im feeling like i want to give them a dose i go get some. Yes anyone can make a tea but not everyone has access to the high end products, some dont have room for it(stealth grows?), and some, like me, just dont even care to learn how to make the tea properly and would gladly give someone money to make a solid product. quit being all negative about shops just cause you dont have a good one to go too. Im thinking thats just it, you got ripped off a few times and are just crying about it. I like my shop and clearly others do to. I like supporting local businessmen as well :)

The other advantage of mixing up your own is that it is super potent as previously mentioned. The tea is aerated until the system is absolutely full of life. Then you use. The problem is if you delay using it, it all starts to die. To making your own would not only be better but a shitload cheaper

There is no need for these so called "high end products" in ACT. A simple brew of compost and EWC and a couple of tbsp of kelp meal make a better tea than these bottled nutrient teas you are talking about.

Organic growing is not about pouring any bottled nutrients into your grow. It is about making a living soil that provides the required elements for good growth. There is never any need for $600 additives for ACT'S.

I am all for supporting local businesses, but really man, the guy pushing his phd tea is full of shit. Save yourself some money and do a little research. You'll be glad you did and will see why so many people are calling bullshit here. If you don't want answers, don't post questions. bongsmilie
