Yeah, you gotta wait. All bud is different, it's not sold by seeds labeled dank, mid, and schwag. If you start pinching parts off early then your gonna end up with unfinished buds and it's gonna ruin. Don't worry, they'll compress when you dry and cure them. Right now keep watching the trichromes, and the buds you took off are probably really immature. Middies are usually grown outdoors also, you can get really good buds from bag seed that was kinda meh weed that was grown outdoors under "production" grows ie when a dude throws 40 seeds in the dirt and doesn't spend enough time cutting the males, or like when they put out 300,000 plants in a national forest, ain't no one gonna go looking for seeds in that. The lack of seeds is what makes the bud good, all those empty chambers are housing thc and cannaboids that are supposed to draw in pollen, but with no male they just get more and more potent. So give it another ~3 weeks, check the trichs, and don't worry about the finished product yet. She's still young, and you gotta remember there's a lot of water in those buds that has to be dried out before it's smokable.
