Concerns about Light time issues

I have been using 24/7 light for veg state. But have grown concerned from reading, that I should drop to 18/6 schedule. My newbie question is, "Will this change in light stress the plants, set them to flower, or be just fine??? Very dumb newbie question!

nice to see assholes are everywhere
I thought I was being supportive. Perhaps you have thin skin.?

It's okay to not know something. But it's not okay to not do anything about it. All I'm saying is that you better study up before you start running in to problems that you can't fix. Good luck

you can run 24-7 I have on young plants but he is right read up some on it,,,will try to explain some,,,,,your plant is like a factory taking in light ,,,Light = food,,,light is the food your plant eats to have photosynthesis occur ,,it is the reproduction of the plant cell,,,while lights are on your plant is taking in light,,water nutrients and CO2,,night time for a plant is important as well as ,,it is like all this stuff arrives at said factory all day,,night time is when they get to use that material essentially,,or how it works in nature,,,always remember,,you growing is always a attempt to replicate what happens in nature,,you are mother nature in your grow room you provide all things,,,,,,,you could stay up for days at a time if needed but it is stressful with out proper rest,,,,,,some folks go 24/7 some don't,,but read up on it ,,information will be your guide threw the grow so try to read up ahead of time before you encounter problems,,that has worked well for me I studied deficiency's and common problems I even did a bit of reading on soils and built my own,, ,,here are a few of my ladies 1 month 6 days into 12-12,,plants are Sour Diesel ,,70% sativa so growers lol

I have read up on it. My concern was stressing, or inadvertently throwing into flowering stage by dropping from 24 to 18 a day. I haven't found any writings that addressed that concern. Being a first time grower, and not having played with lighting, I was relying on those that would have an answer, as there isn't anything I have found online that speak to that specific concerns.

they will not go into flower unless your giving them 8-12 hrs of darkness,,so no I have never had that ,, some growers will start to lengthen the dark time as they get closer to flower to help the plant prepare as would happen with shorter days in nature,,but no going from 24/7 to 18/6 will not put them in or never has for me ,,hope that helps

I run the flower room at 11-13 and veg at 24 no problems ever
Thanks, being new I'm running on common sense and nothing else! I had thought about dropping to 10-14, not sure if it would have any effect. Thanks for the info, it really helps to hear from guys who aren't on their first grow!
