Confused About Medibles

Hey I'm a real noob to the mmj community- just got my recommendation last week, and I am not a regular smoker b4 that. I'm very interested in learning about all the different strains and stuff.-Never had a clue that there were even different strains, you know?
I've been checking out my local dispensaries and they have a bunch of different medibles listed, but none of them list what strain of cannabis they are made with. Does it not matter when it's cooked? Or are they always made with the same kind? What's up?

usually dispensary edibles are made with whatever is on hand and plentiful. Some edible brands list what strains they use such as Tricomb Edibles. They usually use GPD in there edibles. It does matter because the highs are differentwhether it be and IND or a Sat.
