I ran 4 Conspiracy Kush plants by the TGA affiliate Heroes of the Farm. Conspiracy Kush is a cross between Obama Kush and Space Queen. Ended up with 2 females and 2 males. Plants were started under a CFL, placed outside for veg, then brought back in for flowering. The males were culled when sexed. In veg, the two females began to show variation early. Both were topped at the fifth node and one plant stayed about 3 inches taller than the other. The taller plant ended up being the Space Queen pheno and the shorter one was the Obama Kush pheno. Neither plant smelled much in veg.
After bringing them in to flower, the Space Queen pheno began to stretch considerably and towered over the Obama pheno. As buds developed, the Space Queen quickly became the star or the show. The smell was very sweet and seductive. The best way I can describe it is like cherry candy. Every time I opened my tent, I had to get a good whiff of her buds. The Obama retained a low odor throughout flowering and had an almost Jasmine flower like smell if you rubbed the leaves. Odor control was not an issue with this strain for either pheno but I do have a carbon filter. The Space Queen ended up being tall and branchy but manageable with medium sized, dense nugs. The Obama stayed short, Afghani-like, and had big dense buds.
Smoke report:
Space Queen pheno: The smoke is just as sweet and intoxicating as the smell. As the buds cured, they gained an even sweeter, soft smoke with minimal lung expansion. Hashy and sweet on the inhale and even sweeter with a cherry candy note on the exhale. I'd also like to note that smell of this one's smoke in the air is very distinct and alluring. That cherry candy smell lingers and it just keeps drawing you in. I just can't get enough of this one's smell and flavor. The high is mostly up and positive. It's a little stoney as well but very pleasant and relaxing. Not too strong but also not weak either. It's very balanced and just brightens up your day. No paranoia or anxiety at all.
Obama Kush pheno: As this one cured, it gained a cheesy, dank smell but not overly skunky. The smoke is heavier than the Space Queen but not too much. I'd say about average lung expansion. The taste is earthy and typical for an Afghani. Compared to the Space Queen, the taste is a bit bland. The high is much more stony and generally stronger than the Space Queen. I've found that the two mix well as the Obama give you the potency and the Space Queen adds flavor.
In conclusion, Conspiracy Kush was a fun strain to run. Both plants were harvested around day 60 of flowering. I really wish I had cloned the Space Queen as she was the best smelling and tasting strain I've ever ran. I think the Obama pheno would have done better untopped. After running this strain, I've got my eyes on the Scarlet Queen as it carries more of the Space Queen genetics with a little G-13 mixed in.
