Constructive input please

Hello. This is my first grow, my first attempt, and now my first love. I over fed a tad, still have a lot of green. Still absorbing all info thrown at me, and for future trials I will know what to look for. Such a lovely learning experience. I do not have access to a eye glass at this time. I ordered one and it will be here 4-13 4-16. These plants started flowering January 3rd. Since it is my first grow I am not really familiar with time scales. For past 3 weeks I have fed nothing but water every 3 days or so, and 12-12 light cycle. I do not know if my pictures can tell a tale or not. If so any constructive input is welcome. Next steps and so on. Anything I can buy home remedies to add an extra kick? Did I do alright are my buds on par with normal random bag seed grows? Any idea just by looks how long? Is this a sativa or indica? Do I see a hint of purple or am I just wishing I did. Thanks again heres pictures take within 30 mins.

So they have been in flower for what say 11-12 weeks? ... were you adding nutrients before these last 3 weeks?

I'm not highly familiar with soil grows myself... although I have done a few... what I've done personally is feed them progressively increasing dosages of nutes... peaking right around 7-9 weeks into flower... no flush or cutting back until my last week.
These just seem a little deprived of food, not to mention not quite as developed and fatty nugs as they could be for the time frame.

None the less they still look solid for your first time! Hell of alot like my first soil grow

Greetings. First grow, congrats!

Now..

They are not ready and looking like a couple weeks at least by hair colors, all white.

3 weeks of flushing is to much by anyone's standards, maybe why they are not ripening faster, they are/were Pk hungry perhaps. Why flushing now anyway? Should be pushing them to max potential.

Pretty sure soil gets depleted quite a bit during a run.

;-)

Oh and I assume it's a sativa based on time frame already. I also assume it has 3-4 weeks to go based on hair color.

I see purple Little bit. But not on leafs. Look from bottom up to see if buds are purple.

IMO of course.

-3 weeks of 12/12 or 12/12 since Jan 3? 18-6 and 24-0 are considered Vegetation Stage (Veg) light cycles and anything <=12/12 is considered Bloom or Flower light cycles.

-Looks like you have underfed for bloom. What nutes are you using?

-The leaves that are yellow won't come back, eventually they will fall off on their own. I still see many nice green leaves, even the small ones between buds will help her finish, your yield will be impacted though.

-make sure to water as soon as possible when the soil dries out or you see the bottom leaves start to droop. Sometimes leaves will droop when overwatered; easily checked by lifting the plant container, if it's overwatered it will be veru heavy, my containers lift real easy when they are ready for water.

Not a bad first attempt at all. If I had to guess I'd say you have 3-4 weeks left on her.

Different opinion from me... sounds like you leached/flushed for three weeks so that's good. Time to chop (harvest)! Based on those milky trichromes and orange hairs; unless you want amber trichromes. This is a very good result for a first time grow. Good job

Do not flush "ever" Do not starve the plant of Nitrogen during flower some reduction but not severely, nor cut back on feeding while she is finishing. Pistil color has NOTHING to do with ripeness nothing. Watch your trichomes [dont fuck around , buy the magnifier] you harvest them when you like the "high". Look up what effects trichomes give you at different stages HARVEST THEN!!

Can't seem to recall last time an all white hair plant was ready to be scoped. But yeah ok. Yeah buy optics like they did 300 years ago.

Oh yeah, your the "hair color" guy. To each their own partner. Yes, absoloutly buy optics if you rely on anything else your cannabis will be sub par and lack the potential of what it could have been. High plains drifter, sharks breath are just a couple that I harvest while the pistils are still white. What I do isnt gospel just what I do only. Op was asking for guidance your last post was not guidance but rather insulting.

Oh it's broughten

Break it up you guys.
We all know I'm the one who's right.:fire:

If you don't leach No one cares. But your smoke sucks and you can't tell.bongsmilie

Tell me that about 10 days after hairs turn orange the trichromes don't turn milky. Do it :bigjoint:

:joint:we can agree:
Amber trichromes give a different effect than milky trichromes; I do wonder if the difference can be seen analytically..

I had already gave guidance up there. White hairs must b a local market thing.

"Calyx hairs are just an indicator that the plant is ripening, not necessarily ripe yet. I have taken full Indica strains with 60% hairs turned, and sativas when 90% hairs have turned, and they were all at peak ripeness. The trichome color is the only true indicator!"
I'll take that!

shit...looks good.

Just my opinion, and I have one growing too, going, it in its 9th week of flowering, tomy eyes that not even ready yet, with those hairs. If I'm right, and I'm sure someone would prolly correct me, those hair should start to change color and turn in. Also from the look at the trichs they are still clear. Thinking maybe a month left. Get yourself a jewlers loop, I finally got one and its help me a lot.

Will post some new pictures shortly. My loupe came today. Was suppose to be a 100x but it is a 60x go figure lol. Will try to get some trich pics idk just a cheap old thing, and Ive had so many suggestions. I cut back on nutrients because some one on here told me that I over fed and gave to much nitrogen. I started back on my nutrients. Ill take a pic of those as well. Using Elite Garden. Its like a 6 step program.

All trichomes are milky white. Past few days doesn't seem to be plumping. There was a long vine with like 8 buds on it thaty was at very bottom. I popped it off and hung it. Just a taste tester, but yeah 0 amber trichs. Will continue to feed nutes 2 more times for 2 weeks.

When you say plant is eating itself is that because it doesn't have enough nutes? I'm assuming my ocean forest is all dried out of nutes then.

Eating itself means exactly that. The plant will pull what's left from the leaves, if theres none n the soil.
She definitely needs some more food. It appears you've erred in the side of caution and missed some swell. Feed her and you'll get some more weight.
