container size and stye for auto ak outdoor grow

I"ve been browsing for some time here on RIU and have officially decided to run an outdoor grow.
Here's what I've got so far:
1) Fem G13 Auto AK47 seeds VIA Attitude
2) FFOF cut with FFLW
3) Rabbit guard to keep critters out as I live somewhat out in the country.
4) Botanicare's CNS17 Starter kit and a few additives such as super thrive and Aquashield.
Here's where I am concerned:
In Texas, even north, humidity is an issue. If I plant in pots/containers outdoors, what could I use to fight bud mold?
Is it possible to manage root aphids outdoors? I feel like it would be more difficult simply due to nature.
Lastly, what size/style of pot should I use? I was thinking 3-5g grow pots/bags? Or should I use something more sturdy?
Any help, criticism or advice is welcomed. Even if harsh, this all a learning experience to me.

Happy smoking RIU

yeah 3-5g pots are fine start to finish.. always have problems with bugs outside but there are easily controlled... when you say humidity is an issue what is the %

I'm pretty much in the same situation as you are. I'm growing Dutch Passion's Auto Blueberry. It's my first grow. Check out my thread if you wanna see my set-up.

i'm doing 5 gallon buckets with 1:1 FFOF:Promix HP. Growing indoors for about 2 week and then 1 more week to harden them off. going to go easy on the nutrients

don't forget to add some lime, water crystals, and epsom salts. worm castings too if you can.

yeah man, turns out we got were under tornado warning and the humidity sky rocketed in my area. i did some research and discovered that the humidity on average floats around 53%. So, i guess it's not all that bad, definitely manageable!
