Containers for Blocking The Smell of Curing Marijuana

I had a question about marijuana odor control while curing. I plan on curing my harvest in LARGE glass jars.

My question is, does anyone have an idea as to what containers I could put these glass jars into that would block out the smell? I'm growing Sour Diesel and G13/Haze, and I know the SD is pretty stinky from experience.

Just trying to brainstorm ideas. I'm probably looking at a 1-2 pound harvest at most.

Thanks in advance!

you.. i agree.. good glass jars that have a nice tight seal should be plenty good to keep all odor inside of them..
sounds like a nice harvest.. congrats m8..

Make sure the glass jar's have a rubber seal; airtight is key.

hey thanks guys! The jars I was gonna use were just old pickle jars, with metal tops.

That makes sense about the rubber seals...as a mushroom grower, I should have remembered how well that worked in keeping things sterile and clean.

Thanks for bringing that up guys, big help!

If you have a Big Lots in your area or some type of dollar store, they usually have really good deals on these jars for just a few bucks.

Make sure the jars are clean & odor free - pickle vinegar smell will make the buds taste like shit.

You're not kidding brother. I checked some jars I had cleaned out a few months ago recently, and found they still reeked of pickles, so I had to re-clean them much better. They smell clean and sterile now...although I think I might just go out and buy some Kerr or Ball canning glass jars, probably the 1 quart ones.

They have that tight rubber seal, and that's what I need to seal out any smell from getting out.

If the jars dont have gaskets, you can use substitute teflon tape.
That is a good idea.

I think I'm just gonna buy new Kerr or Ball glass jars though. I like keeping smaller amounts in many different jars, instead of a lot of curing bud in a few jars.

It'll hopefully cut down on any mold.
