Can someone help me with converting a $7.00 Walmart 3-Light Fixture, that has a Black wire, a White wire, and what looks like a Copper wire all coming out of the back.

What exactly do I need to buy to convert this? What is the item called that I need?

Thanks, Pictures would help! :D

Well, I have a computer power cable that has a blue wire, brown wire, and a yellow/green wire.

Can this match up with the light fixture, which has white black and copper wires?

The best thing to use is an exterior outdoor extension cord. And the electrical nuts to join the wires. This keeps it safe and could prevent you from getting electrocuted. White wire to white wire, black to black, and copper to ground wire. Do not disconnect the ground wire, this can cause a short and expecially if using this for a grow, will protect you from shocks if you ever get it wet. Also, never exceed the listed ampage per light fixture. You can use a Y twist in extension that allows you to screw in 2 cfl's per fixture if the watts allowed is 60w. Most cfl's are under 30 w each, so this way you can double your lights.

the computer cable will work just make sure the bare or ground wire goes to the ground pin on the three prong end! i havnt cut one in a while but blue=white...brown=black...yellow/green=ground/bare.. pretty sure not 100%
