I bought about 2800.00 of equipment back in the early nineties. I got a good job and gf out of state, so I told a friend he could use them until I had a use for them. He got in trouble for something moved to canada without a word. I thought that they were lost forever and I was pissed for years but forgot about it. Almost 2 decades later, I saw his brother in a bar, and both of us being gun freaks, made plans to go shooting at his parents farm. Walking to the spot where he shoots, I saw a cool old jeep in the open barn and went in to take a look and stacked in the corner with a bunch of other junk, all the equipment I thought I lost in original boxes unopened except for some mouse holes. I was so excited I got an adrenaline rush, everything I bought is there. I'm going to be selling a lot of it, but was wondering, There are 8 Phillips Ceramalux bulbs unused. Has technology changed so much that these are obsolete? does age matter in bulbs?

Bulbs today are better, they have better spectrum than a 20 year old one's especially the HO with added blue. Not saying you can't use them but the cost of a new bulb will pay you back on the first grow by giving you more yield.
