i have a 1k watter and i run a 6" 400cfm fan for it (of course sucking the air off the bulb)

BUT i do know that is over kill and i coulda went with a 4" 200cfm fan

but i would think anywhere from 200-400 cfm would work

just gotta watch the quality of fans. some claim to have the power, but really dont

Its a booster fan (HTG/our use is NOT the intended use of this fan). The 250CFM is based on a CFM/pressure going into it. If from static 'room air' (aka: Not fed from an HVAC system) Drop that rating by 50%. (just go to home Cheapo and read the box)

I have one and tried it, just haven't brought it out to the curb yet.

Not the cheapest, not most expensive, just a nice balance is the soler & proctor series. (its also a snap to go from a pull to push set up) I have and like the TD 150 (used 100% of the time at slow speed on a single 400W hood)

That work for ya? ;) (just jokin&tokin)

That might cool one of them but not both.....maybe not even one. I have a 400+ cfm for my 400w and it does the trick.

Not to try to hijak but I just hooked up my td100 and it is sucking through a 400w. It is not cooling as good as I thought it would for the money. The temps are still over 90 in a 48cft closet. Any clue?

if you stay in one thread, and answer questions i can better help you...lol

pictures help too!

(not saying that nobody else can help you...just kinda hard to diagnose the problem when the symptoms are in two different threads)

push don'tt suck. heres why i say so:

1:) plastic fins. keep cooler air on them.

2:) pushing does compresses the air raising its temp (doubt anyone here has the instrumentation to measure it) but also adds more air molecules to absorb more heat. if a single air mol can absorb 1 btu, (for argument sake) the more the to absorb more heat. don't forget that mol just left the building like elvis. that will overcome the compression temp rise.
