i have a homebox xl, and 1 600watt cooltube, what would be the best way to vent this set-up? i have a hole on the back of the tent and one on top of it. i was going to use a carbon/fan fliter fan combo. what size would work good with this homeboz?? do i also need to get an inline fan to cool the light side??

Get 1 really nice high CFM inline fan for the ducting. Attach it to the top hole in your box with ducting going to the side of your cool tube where the bulb screws in. Have more ducting going to your carbon filter. Leave the bottom hole or run ducting out (if you need to light proof it) for passive intake. The high cfm fan will pull air thru your carbon filter, cool your light and exhaust the clean air as fresh air sucks in passively.

Oh I forgot to add, you may or may not need a flange (depending on if your tent came with one) to screw in the fan to mount it on the tent. Make sure you get the right size to go with your ducting and fan shape.

Well it depends on the size of the grow space. Length x Width x Height = Cubic Feet. So compare your space to the size fans available. I have a 4x4x6.5 space with a cooltube, and a 250 CFM fan works better than fine. Just attach the fan to the hole on your tent at the top, and it will cool your light and suck clean air through the carbon filter and push it outside as exhaust.
