Cop next door

It's a dog. A dog can 'see' odor.

It's a trained police dog.

Might as well plant your garden in the flower beds in front of your house for all to see.

Monumentally bad idea.
obviously demonic1 has never seen someone get tazed before...... i wouldnt even touch the damn police dog if i were you, if that cop caught you doing that he would taze you, beat you with his nightstick and then fine a way to make what you did considered a felony... either way man i can tell you that you arent gunna get a strait answer on here because there really isnt one. so many factors should be under consideration, even the cop himself. but either way cop dogs are ment to sniff out pot and anything else thats considered to be an illegal drug so better safe than sorry i always say

Well just because its a police dog do not mean its a drug dog. It could be an attack dog etc. The chances of the handler letting it run around and sniff up the neighborhood is fairly remote. I would continueth with what I was doing. If you happen to get sniffed out tell the cop it aint yours...you thought it was some kind of exotic tomato plants...your sorry and will never do it again. That should work.

Most K9 units are drug trained. I would not grow in the same neighborhood where a K9 lived. The dog has such a keen sense of smell that it will pick up any scent of your grow that gets upwind from it. Its handler can read its signals and responses to the scent of MJ and will walk the dog on a scouting mission. He will find you being that close.

My Mexican Police Dogs (3 Chihuahuas) can find the smallest bud that I hide in a closet or room of the house as a sort of game. Their reward; they get to eat the bud. They love to eat it and rip leaves & buds from plants when they get a chance.

I too am in a similar situation as you my friend and I still grow. I would say in my tiny neighborhood on the edge of town there are about 50 houses. I estimate between Highway Patrol, City, County and state officers, 20+ of those houses are "Cop Pads", and the Sheriff lives just a few doors down. Its almost like that movie, Cop Town. LoL

keep in mind though, even though I am a medical marijuana patient, I still take all the precautions as if I wasn't. Even the spendy ones.

Get a great filter. if you can, add an ozone generator to your exhaust line. Vent into your attic. Use Onablock if that helps. Try to choose less "stinky" strains. Keep your yard/property clean and neat, make a point to engage in friendly, casual conversation with him when you are NOT high, make sure you look like a "normal" (no 420 shirts or pot leaf earrings :) ) and most importantly, TRUST NO ONE! If one person knows besides you, it's no longer a secret.

If you are not an MMJ patient though and are just a casual smoker it would be cheaper and safer to follow the other advice given here and either find a different neighborhood, continue scoring through a connection, or just don't do it. Depending on your states laws, the consequences could be really shitty.

However if you live in somewhat of a liberal minded state with light Marijuana laws and don't mind risking a few weeks in county or more likely probation and piss tests for a year or something then go for it.

Your an adult (I assume) and can make your own choice but I do think it was wise of you to ask people on this great forum to help provide you with scenarios and stuff so that you can weigh the pro's and con's of engaging in growing.

Good luck with what ever you decide to do and if you do grow, hit my thread and show me some pics of your pretty ladies!

Highly yours,
Zero

Why would you even consider growing as an option if you know for a fact a police dog lives next door. You are begging to be busted and/or raped. Find a new apartment or don't grow.

If you have to ask its a bad idea.

So, Did you ever make a decision?

Let me guess, found a different place huh? (I know it would be tough to going back to buying after growing, and paranoia is a bitch lol)

Keep in mind that smell proof to a person doesn't necessarily mean smell proof to a dog.

there is that. which is one of the reasons I recommended the ozone and venting into the attic.

If its just a small, personal grow I doubt they would ever notice. It's not like the dog is going to be walked in his front yard.. (or is it?)

The biggest thing that seems to trip some growers is using an AC unit. The water condenses and then drips outside, leaving odor containing molocules on the ground that a human would never notice but a drug dog will latch right on to.

Keep in mind too that drug dogs Seek when given the command. If they freaked every time they got a hint of drugs the cops would never be able to drive through Compton or Watts without their dogs driving them insane. LoL

I am just interested in what he decided to do. :)

Me personally, I just got finished looking at my girls, then went to take my trash out and chatted with the sheriff right out front of my house. He was taking his daughter for a bike ride and we B.S.'ed for a few minutes. That my friend is probably the safest way to be.

He won't be going out of his way to even look at me since I am such a "Normal" guy. bongsmilie And we generally as a species only find what we are looking for so............

keep your lawn mowed so you don't look like an addict >>>LOL Get a cat? Get outta there?
massive necropost?

anywho, just because this is an interesting as hell thread, I'm going to chime in with "who says it's a police dog?" last I checked, police dogs stayed in special police dog kennels with other police dogs. (or at least the big city teams do, maybe smaller towns with just one or a couple dogs don't). My thought is that it's probably a policeman, and his dog.

I think it's safe to assume that the OP is not a legal medical patient; otherwise he would not give two shits about the K-9 in the first place. MMJ states are in the minority. For the rest of us who live in non-medical states and/or are not medical-cannabis users the ever growing population of sworn peace officers is a constant threat.
Sucks to be you... In my neck of the woods we are laying off something like 15% of our police force...thinking about a merger with the city county too and that would knock off anouther 7-8% Fucking tits maggee for me !!!

CC:bigjoint::bigjoint:

But I wouldnt live next to a cop if i was a fucking strait edge.. cops are dicks.. it takes a dick type personality to be a cop and they are on a totalitarian trip like DO WHAT I SAY BITCH ... fuck em

Your neck of the woods is bucking the trend.

Government is a growth industry just about everywhere else.

hey everyone.. i got a hopefully quick question. so i'm moving next month into a new house and i think there may be a k9 cop living 2 doors down. if i grew, would the cop dog freak out all the time? or would i be able to control the smell enough?? thanks anyone for their help!
LMFAO...I really am! This shit is too damn funny. Are you seriously asking this question? Why don't you wave a big ass pot flag in the air then go kick the cop in the nuts, cause thats about the only way you'll go to jail any quicker. Should you grow next door to a k9 dog and cop...get the hell outta here.:wall:
