copper mesh wire for slug control??

I've heard copper mesh wire well keep the slugs away but the stuff i'm looking at is a copper blend. Anyone know if this stuff is any good?

If it has copper on it it should a copper wire worked for me in a swamp around the base of the plant. Apparently there is some electrical discomfort made for them while crossing. I would just find a solid one some slugs don't care if the need to eat is higher or something, I don't blame them weed taste pretty good.
