Copters!

I've had a copter fly over a couple times this year. Not really a big deal this time of year. Problem is yesterday it flew over where my girl (1) is and sort of circled and hovered low. Does anyone know anything about how the copters work, or how many (minimum) they can find? Any info would be killer and worth rep lol

a police chopper flies over and around my house every day. sometimes they circle the house for a while if theres something goin on around the neighborhood. i have 3 plants about 3ft tall. they dont notice at all. unless you got a dirt lot with a bunch of pot plants, its kind of hard to notice them. as long as theres other plants and u dont have too many, it shouldnt be a problem. i do live in socal though and am totally legal. even if they did see it, i dont think theyd even come talk to me about it lol

actually i hear it outside as i type this haha

The police station used to be across the main street from me and the chopper flew over several times a day. Now the station is moved and the chopper activity is about half. No problems though. I hold up my pipe in offering, but they have yet to accept.

do you live in an open area or is it a neighborhood? the more people around, the less attention on your backyard. what r the chances they are scanning the ground with a camera(for no apparent reason?), and come across MY backyard? pretty slim. usually theyre out doing stuff, not looking for pot plants in backyards

I heard that if they are circling with their lights off, but a red light on under the front, they are using infrared? Is that correct?

I live in BFE dude, next to a county known for its great, GREAT weed. They have busted several patches around where I live (none being within a mile of me), so I think I might just be a little paranoid lol

infrared is invisible to the human eye. i dont think they would add an extra visible spectrum light, so everyone under them knows the infrared is on. its probably a light for navigation. so other choppers/planes dont hit them at night

are you legal? if you are, you got nothin to worry about. if its a big patch, id try splitting it up into multiple small patches. also add other plants around them to blend it in. not sure if it should all be green or not. those cops in that area probably look for big patches of green

you could also make a hoop greenhouse. i dont think theyd be able to see what type of plants are in it. plus bugs arent as much of a problem

They find around 1% of crops yearly, so i highly doubt they will find your lone plant. Much more chance of thieves grabbing it.

Haha if there are thieves they are trespassing, and in my state we have castle law......... you trespass you walk with one leg. Im not a violent person but I can't stand people who steal ANYTHING. Thanks for all the help guys, much appreciated.

well theres your reason right there bro

for one, the police arent looking for your 1 plant, they are looking for those patches your talking about, so i doubt they will notice just 1, and even if they did by some chane notice that it looked like a marijuana plant the chances of them doing an investigation on it are pretty slim, that stuff costs time and money, which they would much rather spend on patches of at least 10 plants

i have 9 plants off in the woods about 3/4 mile from my house, and even tho they are in the woods, the sky is clear for about a 40 foot radius around them for extra sunlight and there was two helicopters circling around the area all day it seemed like, the copters passed directly over them and beside them several times and didnt even notice them (although i have some other plants around them) and they didnt even notice 9, most of which with leaves bigger than your hand and a minimum of 4 ft., so im not too worried about them anymore im worried more about snatches, just last week a guy in line behind me at the gas station on my street was discussing a plan with his buddy on the phone to go looking for and stealing marijuana plants... fucking assholes man

just keep your plants hidden well if possible with other plants, maybe tie it down or something if its sativa so there wont be a 10 foot tall plant sticking i the air and your good to go, just remember, loose lips sink ships ;)

That must suck. The res I live next to has fly zone restrictions for low flying aircraft and government aircraft so I almost never see a plane or chopper.

weed has a heat signature..so it glows a lil bit on FLiR cams

i wouldnt sweat one plant...it costs alot to run a helo so i dotn think thier gonna waste time unless its a big crop

depends on where you are but i heard in cali they can't focus on anything less than 100 plants due to the cartels, just last month in oregon there was a 91,000 plant bust, thats the shit your looking for, for all they care its wild

eh, its not even worth looking in town for a patch imo nobody is going to be able to grow enough outdoors in town to be worth the man power imo. hell years ago when we were teen agers we'd drive around in sept and just stick out heads out the window and sniff for plants ... >,< they arent dificult to locate when grown outdoors lol >,<
