Worm castings are Mother Nature's original fertilizer. Worm castings (worm excrement) are produced when worms eat compost and soil, and are five times as rich as the medium the worms ingest. Worms also oxygenate your garden by digging tunnels while they eat. A garden full of worms means the soil is rich and well aerated, and aeration provides crucial oxygen to roots.

Worms and pot plants don't mix. They eat all the fine material in the potting mix and leave behind a heavy soil that is prone to water logging and poor drainage which will cause your plants to suffer. The tunnels may also be a problem because the water will travel through them, so the soil may not retain enough water for the plant. It's one of the two, but people say it's a huge problem.

i keep a worm farm and a compost pile in my yard
and i use them both for my outside vegatble garden for my basment garden i only use the run through water no worm casting
cause when i collect the worm castings i see all different stages of worms full grown to eggs and just out of the eggs would be to easy to put one in pots inside
so i run rain water though the worm cstings before i collect it worms dont like it but my inside garden does

It won't work for your setup. Worms are not good in container plants because the worms usually do not like the environment and they try to escape. It's usually either too wet or too dry and they try to search for a more suitable environment. Add in your chemicals and it'll just be a waste. The worms are there to break down the organic material so that the plant can feed but you're providing them with sythetic fertilizer the worms can't use. The lack of food as well as your harsh chemicals will lead to dead worms.
