could one of you advanced guys tke a moment for a beginner

how far should a 250 w hps be while flowering? I been at 20 inches that good or bad. Im in first flower of first grow nothing to compare it with. How far should mh conv bulb be and from seedlings?

A foot would work best for both in my book. maybe add a couple inches on the hps" if you are in a tight spot of have heat issiues or are really worried...

i stay within 12" but i use an air cooled light with a 500cfm vortex 6" fan on it. if it were not air cooled, turn your palm down put on top of plant and raise light until u dont feel hot heat.
