This is perhaps the worst thread iv ever posted.

Iv been working all week and just noticed my feet are WRECKED.
Its very hot and I like sandals like KEEN.

I had some actual vibrim rockports and they were HOT.

I know my Vans are great but my feet are NASTY its so hot after a few hours of work.

I rarely wear shoes. Only if using the mower, for safety. I've gone barefoot so long, my feet don't get wrecked. Ny thoughts... just go barefoot long enough and your feet adapt. No shoes ever felt good to me.

My first GF gave me great advice on dry/cracked feet...
Before you go to bed slather your feet with petroleum jelly, then put two pairs of socks on....
In the morning, wash it off....it works!

SenorBrownWater ^^^ is correct, the woman of my village are punished, by making them work in the fields with no feet wear, and it is not long before the skin flakes off, many of the low borns rub mud in, which just aggravates the condition, best in to rub in some bear fat, butter, anything greasy into the holes and wrap in plastic shopping bags, newspaper, empty UN rice bags even, old clothes to keep warm allow the juice to enter the thick neglected skin, ask any women who wears high heels to big for her ....lol

I am an avid flipflopper for as long as the summer holds. I abhor socks at night. I get really dry feet and since I'm female, I like to wear the strappy pretty sandals and whatnot, and I can't have the white gross stuff showing. I am very diligent about rubbing unrefined coconut oil into my heels a couple times a day. This stuff is amazing.

If your feet are already very dire, slather on the oil, then put on socks to sleep. You can even mix in some straight vitamin E cream from the dollar store. I noticed that helps.

If you are like me, and would rather have bloody feet than sleep with socks on, they do make socks for this issue. Go on Amazon and google "cracked heel socks" and this way, at least your toes can breath.

I use these, and they work.

Bag balm and socks overnight will fix them in a hurry. I too dislike shoes, socks, and clothes in general and my feet pay a heavy price this time of year. The sweat seems to blanche most of the oils from the bottoms and backs of my feet often resulting in cracks and flaking of large pieces of skin from the bottoms if I am neglectful. One or 2 nights and even the worst cracks will soften and heal.
