it could work ... ive seen a stem i had siting in a cupp of water for a weeek grow roots...
But i wouldnt try to clone anything that small...it wud take forever .... probly 3 times as long seeing as itll need sufficent leaf growth and reall good temps and all....

Dont waste your time...serriously... the best clones are the nice fat thick 4 noder ones....

i have been reading a lot about this form of cloning called tissue culture.. i believe that they just use a super tiny part of the plant, and use that to grow a complete new plant from.. sounds like it has a lot of benefits to doing the tissue culture.. the major downside that i've read about is that its got to all be done is a super sterile environment, almost lab like..

I have plenty of 4 node clones from my girls that I took yesterday- this was aleaf that came from an accidental topping doing LST on one of my widows- the top is taking off, but this leaf with a small piece of stem rooted too..willfollow and see. I have plenty of new girls in waiting plus a number of new strains I plan to try with seeds I have gotten in past few weeks.

Just wondering if anyone tried this and what happened. Will report if anything other than leaf grows.

That super tiny part of the plant is the meristem, the growing tip and you do need lab type conditions.

They were doing this with orchids and ferns many years ago, still are. Great way to produce a lot of very rare plants, cheaply.
