So, I am getting ready to harvest a few plants in the next week or two. I cannot use my 3x3 grow tent because I have strains that mature at different times. So I decided to purchase a 2x2 tent for drying. I have a 4" ac infinity exhaust and filter I am not using that has the digital read out showing temp and humidity. I have not hooked the fan up to the tent yet, but as of right now I have 1 of the 4" holes open at the top/side which is where I will connect my ducting, and I have one rectangle opening 50% open on the bottom/side, just to measure what the temp and humidity I am getting from the room the tent is sitting in. As is I am sitting at 69 degrees and 51% humidity. That is with no plants/empty and just allowing passive air.
I will be connecting the exhaust to the tent this week, but I am guessing even with the lowest setting the temp may drop a bit maybe, but the humidity may drop also. Once I place the plants into the tent I am sure the first few days the humidity will rise.
Since this is the first time I am setting this up, I want to make sure once I do cut the whole plant to hang I can keep humidity around 60% and temps as low as I can. I may add a small cooler wit ice at the bottom to hopefully drop temps.
I know everything is going to change once i add plant matter and have exhaust connected, I am just trying to avoid having to rush and make drastic changes and possibly ruining my harvest. Any suggestions?
