I always hated science class because there was a ton of boring shit before the good stuff but I am kickin myself for not going to class because I could have been a few more steps ahead rather than where I am right now. But I am stoked now! :P

sam skunkman purposefully bred the skunk line to have a fruity aroma way back in the day because growers were getting busted by the LOUD ass putrid skunk smell, look up Road kill skunk if you want a taste of your childhood.

Do NOT, I repeat DO NOT!!! use rodelization!!!!
not every plant throws late flower nanners and the ones that due are just late hermis, when you use CS to flip its a chemical process inhibiting female flowering hormones ( the plant is still genetically female) but when you get a late flower hermi that means its not a female... it a hermi! dont ever breed with a hermi unless your goal is to make more hermis!
every plant can herm, even strong female..given enough stress, any female will eventually herm, the process is to determine the stress nedded to cause herm,,lots of stress needed on strong fems..ive used the rhodolazation method many times and the seeds produced only herm if i provide consistent stress, but i have also had seeds that will not herm using the rhodilization method,,but given nute, temp, enviromental stress can eventually persuade some herms..none of my seeds created with any of my methods have ever been easy herms or just herms, all need lots of stresss..

taking a cross to the F7 is not crazy its what breeders should be doing in order to stabilize crosses and make a strain as uniform as possible, inbred mice strains have been documented well past the F20's so its possible it just takes time and idk about you but if im buying something it damn well better be something good that took time to make.

heterosis aka hybrid or F1 vigor is something that can be tracked and accentuated by selecting plants that hybridize well most breeders of canni dont test the crosses they make they just assume theyll be vigorous.

so you made an F1? and you liked it?

You dont backcross to an F1 plant unless your goal is to find another plant like the F1 in the progeny of the BC1, BC2 or 3. an F1 plants genotype will always be heterozygous and breeding to it will only lead to more heterozygosity within your line aka plants that dont look like each other or have the same traits, if you were to backross to a homozygous F2 plant you could potentially stabalize the traits your after but thats just lazy breeding and youll see no improvement in the line just stability and or uniformity.

if I have a GG#4 and I want to produce more plants identical to her I would self the plant to make S1 seeds not outcross and then backcross again thats just wasting time and running in circles. Aa will never make AA if you keep backcrossing to the Aa, get it?
i agree, seed companies should take seeds to a pure stabilized line, however very seldom have i found pure uniform plants even buying stabilized strains..these companies have the room and numbers to do this but do not take the time,,thats why every pack of 10 i buy, i spend months and months on getting them to stabilized true breed plants...i dont have the space or time and dont make money off my seeds, i do it because its like ocd, i want uniform seeds...
so the problem is not with us home breeders, the problem is the big seed companies not putting in the time to supply us with uniformity and that is bullshit!!! so many strains are f1's, very few are stabilized hybrids,, and i cant figure why people would rather buy an f1 over a true breed,,most people would prefer the true breed but the companies dont want to provide us,or dont want to spend the time stabilizing...so its become our job to stabilize f1's we bought if we want uniformity...

I have about 6 lines at the F6 im halfway through a grow that will push me to the F7 but most of my seedlots are F6 pure or crosses of the related lines, Ive done a few outcrosses as well to test the genome.

So far Ive got
autoflowering (cross was photo x auto)
bud color-purple
leaf color-green
pistil color-pink-purple(not fully locked down yet)

I also have criteria prior to selection of floral traits, I pop hundreds of seeds and only the ones that come above soil within 7 days and grow most vigorously are allowed to continue on, any runts or late poppers are immedietly culled, then males are culled, then I select females for traits of interest.

that would be a good way of telling which plants are crossed or pure except in the case of landraces where populations are heterozygous and have multiple genomes per population.

yeah man I agree its really shitty to pop 10 beans and 1 or 2 be even be close to what your expecting, very frustrating.
if u have guarentied purple buded plants, please sell me some beans,, ive spent hundreds of dollars on blue or purple strains and have only had 1 purple budded plant that was a very low yielder and since ive never found another purple its impossible to breed my own purple strain....ive also spent alot on blue strains, once again ive had 0 blue or blueish buds, thats the stuff that pisses me off wen i buy a strain that claims to be blue or purple and i spend the money and get green plants whos to blame? me? no, its the god damn seed companies selling us seeds that claim to be this or that wen in reality maybe 1 in a hundred of the seeds they sell are what all were suppose to be...sorry, iget pissed because of money spent,, on f1' seeds that are not what the seed co said it was... so please if u have a purple budded plant that is a good producer and would like some cash for them contact me..please!!

I got this purple lemon from.a friend but it's a cut only he says f1 that he reveged and gave me cuts,

Lower buds they are, so if I find a male and breed with this female is my chances 50/50 of purple off spring

This might be a stupid question but how do you know which female is desirable without flowering her out first? Do you just pollinate a bunch of females that you've taken clones from and labeled to go back to them after you've sampled the flowers?
haha not a stupid question at all, the answer is... you cant the only way to know is to flower them first with photos you take clones and then flip them but with autos sometimes you just have to pollinate everybody and sort it out at the end. so yea ur right on the second part

FALSE! you are spreading misinformation

any plant CAN go hermi but only if its got the genes that lead to intersex tendencies or you use a chemical process (eg colloidal silver) to inhibit the production of female flower hormones and chemically alter it into a male but a chemically altered male is still a female according to its genome and thats what matters.
thats how femenizing works.

rodelization is bullshit breeding at its finest

you just need to know who breeds correctly and whos just chucking.

look up Tom Hill he has 3 stellar inbred lines and hes a REAL breeder

yeah it is really fuckin annoying to spend hella money on packs of seeds and not even get what was advertised (ive been there too)

can you get clones in your state? why not get a clone that you know will go purple?

Ive still got 2 or 3 generations to go before I drop my line of autos

heres an F5 Bline mom, goes purple even in 90-100 degree weather

BEAUTIFULL plants.. im in upper mi, so yes i can get clones but would have to drive 3 hours each way, and they carry less strains than i do...as a matter of fact, our dispencery at this moment is growing 2 strains that i supplied them with after my patients praised my strains to the dr. i supplied them with blue mystic from nirvana that tested 24% thc(not blue tho) and a strain i stabilized myself but was originally t.h. seeds bubble gum female x bcbd blue berry male, we call it bubble berry that one tested at 25%thc and 1.2%cbd..i gave them 20 clones of each last december and they are still running them, also running connie chung ,the burps, and an og hybrid..there is a lack of care givers and dispenceries here so as a care giver i try to have at least 3 strains to choose from and once in a wile let my patients choose a strain from my list of over 300 strains in my fridge.. but told the dispencery i can no longer supply clones as its a big hassle and puts me way above the amount of plants i can legally possess at a time...any ways getting a purple or blue budded plant is a goal that is proving to be very difficult to achieve..im ordering seeds again soon and im going to try jordan of the islands purps, its kind of expensive at 12 bucks per reg seed,no fems, but sais it will be purple regardless of temp,,,we will see about that!!
