Crickets and Cicada Seeds

Well I'm officially 0 for 10 on my puck bc3. I've tried the paper towel method on a heat mat at 74, and tried sowing directly in my starter cups. I've only managed to get one to break soil and that was one planted directly, and it appears to have died off. Pretty disappointing as I was 3/4 on my Katsu Sour D, and 2/2 on my sour scores started at the same time as the first 5 pucks.

I’m sure if that feedback is shared you’ll get a replacement pack

I’m going to F2 these and do a bigger hunt. My buddy also just got a few packs so if he has a better girl I can probably knock her up too.
Thats what Im going to eventually do with mine. Ive also got 3 packs each of the Skunk x Puck BC2 and Shoreline x Puck BC2, and plan on F2ing all of them.
Ive also got 14 of the Puck S1s from El Jefe Gardens. I normally dont buy feminized seeds, but I had never seen Puck S1s so I took a chance. He said they can be finicky, but I got them anyway. El Jefe is on Instagram if you, or anyone else is interested. Im pretty sure he has some left. They arent cheap though. $150 for 7 seeds.

Yea that is expensive. If I see some other people getting good results with those I might give them a try. JJ is the only person I give $20/seed right now. I want some worked lines at that price.

The Puck is the most sought after of all Hashplant cuts. It comes directly from Nevils hashplant genetics from 1984.

Nevi used the Pacific Northwest Hashplant, and bred it to NL1, and got a Male from that, and bred it back into the PNWHP mother. The Puck was found in 1988 from seeds bought in Amsterdam, and sewn into a sweater, and brought back to the USA by a guy named Skelly. Thats why its also known as Skelly Hashplant.
Skelly kept his weed in a container that resembled a hockey Puck. Thus the use of 2 names. Nevil said the Hashplant was the most potent stuff he ever smoked.

Plus El Jefe only made a limited supply of the Puck S1s, and when theyre gone, theyre gone. This is the first time Ive ever seen the Pure Puck in S1, or any any form. Second closest would be Crickets and Cicada Puck BC3. Bob took almost 4 years to develop this backcross.

JJ also possesses the Puck cut.

Hope the red leb x puck comes back out soon
Also the Nepali x Puck. And the PNWHP x Puck. I gave a buddy 2 packs each of the Nepali x Puck, Red Lebanese x Puck, Sensi Star V1, Puck BC2 last year, an my buddy F2 all of them, but he died, and he had al the seeds hidden, and are lost. I found him dead on his couch Oct 31st. He passed in his sleep, so I had to call the cops, and coroner, and I couldnt get the seeds. Didnt know where they were. But he said even though the weed was all seeded, it was really great weed. All of it.

I’m just saying I’m pretty frugal. Charging $20 a seed for an s1 to me is crazy. It doesn’t take any real “breeding” work. I would rather buy some worked lines from Bob than some s1’s at double the price. But that’s just me. I am interested to see what you get though. I bet you get some good hash plants in there. Take care man.

These are the first Feminized seeds Ive ever bought in over 10 years and generally against them. I tried a bunch of Barneys Farm G13 x Haze, because they stopped making regular seeds back around 2011-13, and we have a killer plant of a Barneys Farm G13 Haze from 2010. So we decided to buy 20 of the fems, and they were junk. The original Barneys G13 x Haze is one of the best plants Ive seen. Its fast growing, and produces a huge amount of weed, and is way above average potency.
The new Barneys G13 x Haze regulars are also nothing like the original. The original was a heavy sativa influence, as where the new one is more on the Indica side.

So considering how rare the Puck S1s are, I couldnt resist. We plan on using some of the S1s for breeding.

I’ve got three Puck BC3s going now. One is an absolute mutant freak, small, narly and stunted. Others look good, one with some twisted leaves at first. I’ll try and grab some pics to compare. Skunk x Puck going as well and looking strong, All popped, all healthy… so psyched to have these genetics in house.

respect,
pal
